Went on the Bernina Express to St Moritz and the train passes through this point. It is stunningly beautiful - frozen lakes and snow covered mountains and when we visited it was a cloudless sunny day. If you get the opportunity to take this train trip do yourself a favour and just do it - you won't regret it.

We went pass on the Bernina Express, and like most other travelers here, this is one of the areas you just have to visit and see. The stunning, picturesque views simply can't be described. It needs to be seen with your own eyes to give it justice. One of the most memorable areas we visited on our European honeymoon, and... More

The Bernina Express rail trip traverses some of the most scenic alpine beauty in Europe. I urge you to take the trip from St. Moritz to Torino, Italy. This I promise will be one of the most memorable rail trips you will ever take.

We went through this pass on the Bernina Express travelling from Tirano to St Moritz in December. The train actually passes through the lower pass at Ospiizio Bernina which is at a height of 2,253 metres. The scenery is absolutely stunning and the train runs right beside Lake Bianco.

What a beautiful sight , on the road trip. One has to see it to enjoy the real beauty of this place. Words cannot explain the real beauty. Amazing sight, like a picture book. A must see, this picturesque scenery. Loved every minute of the trip. As it was summer only the summits of the mountains were covered in snow.... More

Such a great experience for curious travelers! Take the train from Chur and finish in Tirano - that is the ultimate and most amazing train trip. And the Bernina Pass is so spectacular, especially by train. Amazing bridges, tunnels, views... It is not occasional that it is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Both methods of travel was used to use the pass. There are others but the addition of Train Spotting probably makes this a rare gem. So clean - no litter - few people and those who were there clearly very happy to be there.

This was a wow experience, traveling from St Moritz en route to Bellagio in Lake Como. Snow capped Swiss Alps, panoramic view. Great photo ops. Sit on the right side of the train going forward from St Moritz. Train stopped at Alp Grum for photo op and people got off for 15 min. Abt 2091 meters above sea level.

This train journey is not cheap but well worth the money. The views of the mountains & lakes were breathtaking. Train is so clean & you have reserved seats for both journeys. St moritz is very expensive, the sad thing is most of the shops were closed as the train arrives at lunch time. There is a great coffee &... More

Lovely train trip from Tirano Italy up through the Alps and down in Zurich. Views were magnificent, we chose the First Class section which has the panoramic windows and well worth the extra cost. There were superb green valleys and hillsides and bright blue & green lakes. The climb out of Tirano is excellent where the train turns back onto... More
