We have been twice now and absolutely loved it. So funny and the drinks are so creative. Worth paying the bit extra to sit in the good seats

Glorified striptease
Sep. 2021 • Couples
First, the positives. The food was good (perhaps my expectations were low). The decor was great. The guitarist and drummer were amazing.

The negatives. This was basically a strip show. Depictions of nudity. Glorification of drug use. Lots of innuendo. Felt sexually aggressive. Where was the horror theme? Won’t be back or recommend, sadly.

A little disappointing compared to previous visits
Aug. 2021 • Couples
If you have been to draculas 5/10 years ago, it’s a little disappointing compared to than, no bag and book for vip customers, Staff weren’t as entertaining as previous visits and show finished just before 10.30, food and drinks were decent still though

Excellent but Could Do Better
Aug. 2021
Really enjoyed last night, Thursday, 19th August. Not sure what to expect but it was pretty good. Bought VIP tickets which were probably well worth it. No queue and given decent metal necklaces to keep. Straight into the introductory and then onto the wee railway which was lots of fun. Only took about three minutes but good,

Seating was terrific and they’ve worked out how best to see the show with an innovatory seating plan. Great, and we sat down to a couple of wee bottles of decent Prosecco.

The wait staff were absolutely terrific and I can honestly say that they’ve been brilliantly trained and up with the best in the world, ie Food was served and plates taken away when finished almost immediately with flair and elan.

We were right down at the front so didn’t feel as if there were anyone else there which was great.

The show started off slowly with a three piece band of singer, lead and some blooe who pretended to play drums. It was awful and I wish I’d taken film to send to my musician pals in Britain to show one of the worst groups I’ve ever heard, ie lead seemed excellent, singer was good, no bass player and the drummer? I was sure he had to be taking the p... as it happened, he was!

The show started slowly and increased, and increased, and ended up as terrific. Wife tells me that the main male singer met us coming in and asked us where In Scotland we were from. He is the spitting image of Gene Wilder from Young Frankenstein and was rather good.

They then went to full show and from there it was all great with many highlights, not least being the face coming down from the gods.

The musicians are pretty damn good and I take it back about the drummer, although... I watched him and the female guitarist carefully. Didn’t take long to discover that around 50 per cent of the show is mime, ie watching the drummer it was great to see how he carefully put a stick under his arm and pretended he’d missed a stroke.. same with the lovely lead player who was playing mid fret when the sound was way up,at,the top. She was pretty good as well and I hope they’re both in other bands where they can play properly.

The gymnast was terrific and had our hearts in our mouths during a couple of her antics,

Coming to the food.... I’d checked out the reviews and they were bland. So is some of the food which is a shame and you should do better, ie I’m pretty much a veggie and asked for one. It was a portobello mushroom with carrots and a decent jus. It’s quite dark in the theatre and I honestly thought I was cutting into my fork until I realised It was three beautifully looking uncooked carrots. I saw a review about this particular meal and they said it wasn’t up to a main course standard. The reply from Dracula’s said they’d look into it and do better. Two months later and you’ve obviously got lost with the looking. The starter was fine. The dessert with the coffin is a good idea but as it’s almost frozen, is inedible until it gets warm.... which is what I did and it was fine.

All in all? Thoroughly enjoyed the night. The professionalism of the wait staff is top class. The standard of the show is excellent with kudos to the gymnast who is brilliant.

During the show the lassies come out and put a searchlight on people. For some reason I’m always picked out so decided to make a face showing I was bored. Camera held for a few seconds but left toot sweet. Didn’t know why until I saw some of the negative reviews today. You’re wrong folks. It’s a great night out, the food may not to be A1 but the attention of the staff, the professionalism of everyone, the happiness of the other punters, etc etc, made for a top night.

We’d recommend this night to all our friends and aunties wherever they are - most are underground which is why they’d love it and I’m only taking a star off because the food is so so and you didn’t bother trying to improve the mushroom thing. Missis McLeod said her curried chicken was uninteresting and something you’d find at a cost saving wedding. .. which means you could do better ... which is what I was always told in my report cards at primary school.

Delightfully absurd
(Warning: course language contained. If you're easily offended by that... or adult content... or plain old weird sh*t then maybe don't visit.)

What a night!

In all seriousness though the lude, immature and utterly delightful humour offered by this wickedly silly cabaret dinner show make Dracula's a must for anyone with a sense of humour (who also doesn't take themselves too seriously).

The acts go from sublime (Nagini the acrobat is THE definition of fierce) to absurd (heavy implications of beastilty in one scene and a Spanish singing skeleton T-Rex in another) along with just about everything in between.

As for the food I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb shank and the mousse filled coffin dessert was cute and yummy. The tart entree was a bit of a miss for me but two outta three ain't bad.

If entertainment is what you're after you can't go past Dracula's. I absolutely loved it and will definitely return.

Money saving tips: book with RACV (your state equivalent) or Groupon (combined with Shopback/Cashrewards) for a decent discount.

It’s gone downhill
Jul. 2021 • Friends
This is my 4th time going to Dracula’s in the past 15 years. It has changed a lot. This is my last time I think.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the performers are talented.
The atmosphere was good, the decorations etc is very cool and always has been.
I feel like the staff use to dress up in horror more and now dress more like bartenders.
The new menu was not good in my experience.
The entree lacked flavour and a few of us couldn’t finish it. For the main I ordered the chicken and unfortunately the rice was hard and raw, all the people at our table had the same issue. The dessert is alright, would be cool to see variety. It was difficult to talk to staff because they were so busy. We paid $45 approximately for a shared cocktail that tasted like soda water. They happily replaced it, it tasted the same. Not sure what happened here. We couldn’t drink it and couldn’t give it away either it was really so bad. The food delivery was very rushed and not like it use to be. 3 quick meals before the show even starts. The gift shop and merchandise is awesome, we spent a bit on it. The show was not memorable, I was confused about what was happening. The 2 male leads who use to be the stars of the show were not there and it wasn’t the same. Lots of singing and less comedy which I found disappointing. The security at the front was really nice (A New Zealand man) the tickets are well priced. Dracula’s Really needs to take more care with the food...and work on a better cohesive production.
I wouldn’t recommend Dracula’s to anyone who has been before.

Worth visiting for the experience!
A great night out! Great atmosphere, awesome entertainment and amazing staff who are friendly and look to really be enjoying their work. The drinks come in a wide variety of cool vessels and styles and are plentiful. The only real downside is the food which is nice, but could definitely use a bit of an upgrade. The starter was a bit confusing in taste, the main was delicious but quite a small portion and the dessert could have used something extra. Would definitely recommend for a fun, lively evening!

Raunchy Burlesque....Not Horror
Jun. 2021
Went to Draculas on Friday night as a VIP guest. Mixed feelings about the whole thing really. The reason I gave it a 4 star review is because we never stopped laughing from the minute we got in the place to minute we left. It was a crazy show and the pre dinner performances were also very good. My partner and I have been to Dracula's both on the Gold Coast and when it was in Melbourne.....many, many, many times......and......the shows are not what they used to be. The performances would have a definite 'horror' slant to them and would follow a 'horror' theme. There used to be a lot more audience interaction........birthday call outs......prizes and give aways. None of that exists anymore. The shows are very raunchy and more burlesque. The actors and staff are great and full of energy. The food is average.....small portion size and when you get your meal is dependent on when your fellow table guests arrive. They will not serve your meal until the table is complete. Just as a BTW......our table guests never showed so everyone else in the theatre had finished their desserts when we got our starters. Crazy. Yes, it is a very funny fun night.......it isn't horror.......there is no after show disco like there used to be.....the food is average......the cocktails are pretty cool and not overly expensive. The ghost train rise in to the theatre is fun. Good night out but don't expect a feast or too much 'horror'. Oh.......don't bother driving to this venue, there is literally no where to park close by. Get an Uber or a taxi.

Enjoyable experience
Jun. 2021 • Couples
We booked the VIP experience and found it to be interesting and value for money. The cabaret show was fun and very well presented. The actors were funny and the dancers and acrobats entertaining. The service was good and friendly. Highly recommended. The food was slightly disappointing and the menu could be improved. A highly recommended experience when you visit the Gold Coast.
