Picture postcard castle set opposite the old town. Great views of the castle and from it too. Set round a court yard with towers and passages to explore. Cafe inside and toilets also. Make sure you see it at night from the old town.

Historical accounts date Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle to the early 14th century, although recent archaeological evidence has proved human existence in the area back to the 12th or 13th century.

Beautifully situated and well-preserved, Kamenets-Podolsky fortress (it's not a castle, by the way) is definitely worth seeing. But if you come there after hours and find the door closed, don't be sad - the view from outside is much better (and it's free of charge!).
