First of all, I don't know how much Amaya gets paid but she deserves a raise!! She was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable and friendly. I usually mentally check out on historical facts but she even kept my attention when talking about different types of local beans...beans??!? The tour goes like this: you learn a little then you eat/drink a little.... More

After some comunications hiccups (I had some problems reaching them to confirm the tour on the following day, but eventually they managed to contact me some hours before it to confirm it), I started this solo trip. My expectations for it were somewhat low, as I found them while "googling" it in tripadvisor and due to the hiccups, I didn't... More

We both were very pleased with Amaya's strolling tour to eating and drinking spots with much fascinating information about regional food, drink, history, and culture.

Amaya really knows her stuff, in English or Spanish (maybe even Duetsch). She covers local staples, history, and specialty foods in a friendly and interesting way. Not only did we get marvelous full servings of a carefully selected variety of local foods, we also got several specialty drinks, a tequila sampling and education, chocolate and frozen treats, and a chance... Such a wonderful experience. I've been staying in Tlaquepaque for two weeks and this tour helped me venture further into the town's culture and cuisine. Well worth the price for delicious, authentic food and interesting history tid bits. Do this tour!

Amaya kept our party of four entertained and informed for nearly four hours while introducing us to many examples of the fine cuisine of Jalisco and Guadalajara. It was a pleasure and the highlight of our visit to the area.

Amaya provided my friend & I with a wonderful tour of 9 different restaurants/shops for tastings of chile nogada, tequila, chocolates, and other amazing dishes. She also provided some great historical information and was willing to spend extra time with us. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Amaya.

We had a wonderful tour with Amaya. She is amazing. It was my dad, wife and I only on the tour. So we had a personal tour guide. :) We got some to try many local treats, plus some great history and cultural lessons. We had such a great day with Amaya we went back to Tlaquepaque for a second... I've been on lots of food tours around the world, and this tour around Tlaquepaque was top notch. The guide, Amaya, was charming and knowledgeable and the tour included some history and culture in addition to the tasty treats. The foods tasted were really excellent versions of the local cuisine - for example, the torta ahogada (drowned sandwich) was the... More

We have been to Tlaquepaque several times, but never really dug in to all there was to do. I would recommend using her the first day you are there. Then you will have all sorts of ideas about where you want to eat, drink, and visit the rest of your time there. Amaya was great! Food was exceptional and most... More
