While we enjoyed our stroll through the buildings, I did not think it was worth our time or money. There was not that much on display and it seems as though it needs a bit more effort put into it.

This is a "must do" while in Gracias, Lempira but I was disappointed. It is just an old colonial beautiful house turned into a museum with very little to see. It also has a garden that was in very bad shape at least during my visit.

We loved being able to see and read about the historical detail in the area! We had tried to visit before but it was closed, so watch out for the hours. They were landscaping the botanical gardens and it was raining when we went, but they are probably very nice now.

Nice old place to visit while in Gracias. In this house you will be able to read information about Gracias and about one of the most influential families of this town: the Galeanos. The botanical garden was being remodeled during our visit, but one it is done it willl be the perfect place to have your afternoon coffee and enjoy... More

Lots of nice collections of currencies, pictures, documents. The place itself is a historical reserve. I'm sure you can learn a lot in a single visit, there's tons of information all around. Warning ⚠ though, all the info is written in Spanish and we didn't get any guide or person explaining to us anything. House is nice to walk around.... More

I spent an afternoon at this place and it was like magic, the museum it's very well kept and the information it's available to everyone, the house is one of the oldest buildings in this area, the floor, kitchen and paintings are the original ones that were built over 100 years ago, the garden it's great and it seems to... It's also a botanic garden, the house offers the traditional housing manners of the well-off people in early of 19's, it's also a good opportunity to see scaled models from near by cities and buy some traditional clay utensils for use or decoration

If you have less than an hour but would like to get a feeling for the local culture, this museum is nice to visit. I wouldn’t put it on the do-not-miss list, but it was pleasant to walk a little ways away from main part of town and see it.

The staff wasn't the most friendly - when we walked in we thought it was free, and as we were going into the next room they asked us to pay. Then, the exhibits looked like the place just needed a bit of an injection of money. The house is huge though and if you are the museum-type of tourist it... More
