well worth a visit if you are in the town with its bullet ridden outer walls and the mortar shell still embedded in one of the buttresses. The building shows the scars of war and is quite unbelievable to think they are still there after...More

The church is beautiful but its setting atop the fortified rock of St Lo and the views from there made it special.

Incredible to think think how this cathedral has been restored from the way it was bombed on D Day with an interesting selection of prewar relics. I could read the French literature but it is a shame it is not available in English

Wonderful architecture with a long history. A large sign in the entrance suggests we visit the museum corner to learn more, the "Petit Guide" was available in several languages including German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch but not in English. We find this very surprising as there...More

I'm not religious, I'll clarify that first as you don't have to be so in order to appreciate this cathedral. There is a mini museum inside which deserves reading fully, it shows the damage to the town during the war and serves as a reminder...More

It was wonderful to see how the church was tastefully restored from the devastation of the bombings. Definitely worth a visit.

Heavily bombed, the town of St Lo suffered 90% loss of it's buildings. This church lost one of it's towers but has been cleverly rebuilt in reflection of its original state. The stained glass windows are fabulous. Telling stories and celebrating local trades. Parts of...More

Having walked around the Ramparts it was a pleasant experience to enter the peace and tranquility inside the church. The sight of the mighty Bell was another reward as was the modern organ loft and pipes.
