It is a historic and Heritage property now known as Rajbhavan. Built as replica of Buckingham palace, it has 114 rooms. Guided tour is organised by tourism department and visitors are allowed to only few rooms inside. An architectural marvel and very well maintained.

A large area is present surrounding Governor house in Nainital. The house has a specific architectural characteristic which makes it a look alike of Buckinghum palace. The rooms, things and views inside the building is also very attractive.

The Raj Bhavan and the old governors house at snow point must not be confused. The Raj Bhavan is a truly gorgeous building in classical British style with extensive gardens and other properties around it.
