Living in Batu Ferringhi I visit this Park quite regularly. There are several good trails to Turtle Beach (my favourite), Monkey Beach, Camping Beach and the Muka Head Lighthouse. Most take between an hour and 90 minutes. The lazy can get a boat for a...More

I hiked to Kerachut Beach my own and it was bit difficult, but not that bad, and took me around 1.5 hours to reach the beach. The beach was very quite and only few people around and a turtle research centre there and also a...More

Absolutely beautiful park situated at the north-eastern tip of Penang along the coast. I took the bus from Georgetown, a 45 minute drive to the park. I only hiked to Monkey Beach, about one hour, as it was extremely hot and humid. Nevertheless, I enjoyed...More

Great place though my hubby and I were exhausted from the walk. Scenery was worth it. Take 101 or 102 to the end of the bus line and remember to bring 1 litre of water per person along with snacks. Plenty of street eating places...More

We LOVE National Parks - usually. We DID NOT love this one. Be aware of the fraud that takes place right in front of the entry of the National Park area - overpriced (boat) tours and doubtful characters who claim to be tourist guides. Better...More

Sorry for the late reply. You have to register at park HQ but there is no charge. Probably the office opens at 8.00 AM and it is situated at the entrance to the park
