This was slightly different than I anticipated but it was a great visit. The lovely hosts Wani and Salwa completed a postcard for my nephew's class while I visited. The Garden itself is lovely. Based on the name, I thought the spices would feature a bit more prominently but after viewing them in the Spice Terraces, I understand the setup.... More

Be careful as you walk upon entering the entrance or by exiting... "A taxi friend slipped and fractured his left ankle while visiting. In the end a visit to Tropical Spice garden was cancelled." It could have been to anyone...should there be notices to informed. Should one loves nature and mosquitoes...to enjoy various types of spices...this is the place.

This is the best to do in Penang in my opinion. Large, interesting, many ways to walk... many spicies, trees, plant... good audio guide... lovely restaurant.. Amazing place.

Pleasant 'spice' gardens in restored tropical rainforest. Easy to get to, informative and quite peaceful on the day we went. Not expensive (all relative). Got some interesting books and spices in the gift shop.

A fantastic place to visit and learn how many of the spices we use at home in our cooking are grown and harvested. Set in a lovely location, our guide was very informative and the tour very educational. Even the kids were fascinated. A great experience.

Day 5 Friday 10 March 2017. After checking out of the Sri Sayang apartments in Batu Ferringhi we visited the highly rated Tropical Spice Garden only a few km down the road. Before going into the garden we treated ourselves to a food platter featuring a variety of different spices, plus health drinks with ginger, lemon grass ++. The entry... More

This place gives you a lot of information about spices, especially when you listen to the audio guide included in the entrance fee. The garden is huge and has many places to have some rest. Although you get some mosquito spray at the entrance, I recommend to take your own with you. At the end of the tour you can... More

Not for those with walking difficulties, the paths are not smooth and you spend more time looking at your footing than the surroundings, saw lizards and monkeys and an expensive restaurant at the top...overall its ok but not a must see attraction
