An amazing experience, traveling all over Italy with my boyfriend, staying in Bologna for a week we decided to relax for a few days in the countryside and it ended up to be more than a brilliant idea to do so at the Porretta Terme at the Hotel Helvetia! We have both been to many beautiful places to relax but Helvetia was by far the best we have ever come across. The spa is simply perfect and made me feel like the ones back home in Sweden with the beautiful natural materials and the well made saunas for all senses. The restaurant is the best we have been to in Italy. An eloge to Mattia, who is a young excellent Maitre, to the chef by the name Lucano I believe (I will remember the low temp. prepared octopus forever!) and to the manager Carlo; a real gentleman who made us feel like royalty during our stay! The service was good and the staff extremely helpful. The Package was great- Hotel room, Spa use, with B'fast, and Dinner. They had some good red wines as well. We enjoyed our time here.
