I missed this last time I was in the area and was pleased I visited this time. It's a easy walk through forest to the look out area, then down a track to the pebbled beach. The limestone formations are pretty with the bonus of a little waterfall. It is well signposted to warn of no swimming, the under tow... More

From our chalet at Te Nikau, this was a 20 min walk through a lush green forest to the beach. Closer to the beach we heard the many birds cooing and cawing and of course the water crashing towards the shore. When we got to the other side, closer to Hartmount Place the waters were very rough, but the view... More

This is a nice track to begin a day with. After morning breakfast, a walk along this track before drive down to other parts of new zealand. The walk is about 30 min but if you spend your time taking photos, can be around 50min. It is open to public and free entrance. The first part is cobbled paved but... More

We are keen walkers but this walk is perfectly possible for non-walkers who just want to stretch their legs after a long car journey. There's free parking just off the road and the track takes you through native forest before arriving at the cliff head after no more than 10 minutes. The waves were crashing in on the day that... This track is highly rated for a few reasons. It is easy to complete, it is really interesting, you get to see great ocean views as you walk it, but the highlight for us was to be able to go down to the beach in front of the raging ocean. Make sure you do that and don't just stop at... More

After passing through the forest, a short walk, you arrive on a pristine beach. The beach has beautiful rock formation and a waterfall. My wife and I could have spent all day here it was so lovely

The walk is easy and SO worth the ten minutes of walking in the rainforest, then all of a sudden it opens up on to beautiful coastline. It was breath taking - go and enjoy!!

The track is fairly easy to walk, you get to the beach after about 15 mins. At low tide you can go down to the pebble beach, quite cute place. Not recommended for swimming though.

The track was recommended to us and it really is worth the short walk. Best visited at low tide so you can get down into the beach and walk in the shells. We were first ones there for the day and it was quite a magical place.
