Much to see in the Museum. Remember to step over the high entry ledges. Old ceremonial rooms, beautiful courtyards. Silver plays an important role in Miao culture. Fenghuang is true jewel.

Fenghuang is a nice ancient city built along a river. During the day it's great to walk through the little streets and discover the many nice things they are selling. The place is full of chinese tourists, I saw maybe 5 western tourists in a whole day walking. During the Night, the bars along the river play loud disco music, which kind of ruins the atmosphere (everything is beautiful!) and feels like Chinese ballermann...

Fenghuang is very well known as a tourist destination within China, but almost unheard of outside China. You'll need to buy an entrance ticket and make sure you stay within the ancient city (凤凰古城), not the normal run-of-the-mill city of the same name around it. The architecture is breathtaking, the river serene, the bridges and crossings cool, and plenty of lively cafes and bars and good Hunan food to boot. There's also plenty of Miao people history to learn about, even if it's not made particularly accessible and the area seems extremely Han Chinese. This particular museum is ok, my review is more for the general Fenghuang old town.

One of my friend told me that Fenghuang is a nice place and suggested me to have a trip in September. so I just came to Fenghuang with my family number on September 20.
This time I still chose Zhangjiajie Tour Club to arrange the tour for me, Fenghuang city is really a nice place, very quite and peaceful. there are a lot of ancient streets selling local foods, my favorite foods are the ginger candy, Kiwi and so on.
There are a lot of bars along the Tou river, the night scenery is beautiful when all lights turns on in the evening.
Nice place, you cannot miss when you are in China.

I went to Guizhou last summer vacation with my family. It was sunny and hot,so we decided to go to Fenghuang Ancient City. Most of the houses in this place are by the water. There is a wider river in the middle, which divides the ancient city into two halves.
Because the river surrounds, this place is cooler and suitable for summer.
We went around the water for a while to go to the snack street, Guizhou snacks are delicious, My father and I ate two Guizhou zongzi, dipped in sugar taste very good!
In the afternoon, we went boating by the river,It was so exciting! In the middle of the river we could see antique buildings on both sides. Half of the houses were on land and the other half were supported by wood on the surface of the water. It was very strange.
In the evening, we went to see the night view of the ancient city. The lights were very spectacular, every house was very bright, there was a huge tower-shaped lamp in the middle of the river, and there would be local country music on the side of the road. It was beautiful! I really enjoyed the day in the Ancient City!

Chiangmai is an old city with many beautiful temples and natural scenaries.
It is the historical capital of the old Kingdom, and Chiang Mai is rich in culture.
There are many interesting sites worth paying a visit.
You should come see for yourself this fantastic place...starting from the ancient city walls and moat.

The crowds are a killer - takes away the time one can spend quietly in a museum. I cant even think to be honest and if its raining (most of the time it is in summer), it gets unbearable for me.

The city is a real tourist trap, still it is very beautiful and extremely photogenic. You won't have the feeling that you've discovered something new, but the beauty of the scene along the river makes up for it easily.
