I thought it was a lovely place. the food is very good the staff are very efficent every thing about it was homely only thing i didn't like was the smell of the turf burning it was very over powering and i could smell it off my clothing the nxt day other than that i couldn't complain worth a visit .

This is one of our must-sees every time we visit Ireland. The views are spectacular, the ride up is “fun” and no matter the weather we always feel rested and connected to nature when we visit there.

We didn't stay at Glenmalure Lodge, but we did have dinner there. The staff was very friendly. My Mom had a salmon special that she really enjoyed. The old meat eater in me thought it looked pretty freakin' fantastic! If you are vegetarian you may want to look for another dining option. There was only one option on the menu and it wasn't awesome. I'm used to that though so I never go anyplace expecting there to be something fabulous for me to eat. Everything else about his place was great. I loved the way the inside of the restaurant looked. There were several picnic tables out front for folks to sit outside and be social while enjoying their food and pints. There is a parking lot across the street with plenty of spots. Soooo - If you are an herbivore, throw a snack in your bag and go here for some cold pints!
I will definitely check this place out for an overnight stay if I end up back in County Wicklow again.
Oh - I recommend making a reservation if it's a weekend night. We were there on a Saturday around 4:30pm. Most of the tables were reserved for 6pm. Fortunately they let us have a table and just let us know that someone else was going to be coming for it.
Take some time to go to the bridge and check out the water wheel. It's pretty cool.

This attractive hotel and bar is situation in the heart of the Glenmalure valley, deep in the heart of the Wicklow mountains and is a welcome stop on the Wicklow Way. The hotel is very popular with walkers, climbers and cyclists. The beers include local craft ales. The food is excellent and I recommend the venison sausages with onion marmalade.

Great spot for a drink! If the weather is poor, the interior is very traditional which is so unlike many pubs in the area. The views outside, however, are fantastic - great valley views and a lovely stream as well.

Glenmalure is a prime spot for walkers, cyclists, bikers, hikers and anyone seeking fresh mountain air and stunning scenery. Even though it is brisk & chilly today, as long as the weather is sunny, this is a GREAT spot to bust for lunch and the drive there (via rathdrum & back via laragb) gives you a wonderful mini tour of Clara vale..
I just love this part of the world😎
