Kenmare Bay Diving offers scuba diving experiences from qualified divers to complete beginners. The dynamic 'Try A Dive' programme totally engages with all age groups. The 3 hour long 'Try a Dive' programme is run on a daily basis and during the summer months is hugely popular and therefore pre- booking is essential. You will begin with a short concise diving theory lesson, thereafter you will be whisked away to an offshore Island by speedboat. At the island the boat will anchor in an enclosed sheltered Lagoon where you will have your first shallow water dive. You will be accompanied by an instructor for the duration of the dive, during which time you will see an assortment of underwater life. It is a highly recommended activity and certainly boosts ego and esteem and gives a tremendous feeling of accomplishment. For qualified divers, there a boat trips to reefs, wrecks, pinnacles, drift dives and offshore Islands. Kenmare Bay is host to an array of marine life ranging from dolphins and whales to lobster, crayfish, dogfish, mackerel, pollack, conger eel, wrasse, pipe fish, urchins, sponges and soft corals. For non divers, who wish to just take in the beautiful sea views, life jackets are available for hire and Snorkling trips are also very popular. Snorkling equipment hire including wet suits are available from the dive centre. Guided snorking trips can also be arranged. The Dive Centre itself is situated in the beautiful Harbour of Killmackilogue and works alongside the harbour inn 'Teddys' which provides accomodation and delicious meals. A truly unique experience in a beautiful setting.
