Two weeks ago, as part of a Sinorama tour, we did the Small Three Gorges, and it was great! We were fortunate to have nice weather, so many of us were able to be out on the front of the small boat the entire time, to get beautiful pics. The guide on board gave wonderful commentary, and pointed out interesting... More

The Wushan Three Little Gorges also known as the Daning River Three Little Gorges covers an extensive space of over 30 miles from Wushan County in the South to Dachang, an ancient town in the North. The first one is Dragon Gate Gorge. The second is Misty Gorge and the third is Emerald Gorge. Each Gorge is unique and each... More

We were lucky that our day sailing through the Lesser Three Gorges was one of the better weather days that we had throughout the trip. To have the best views, one needs to be up and out on the front or the top deck of the boat. We saw monkeys, goats, and the hanging coffin as we sailed on the... More

A three hour tour up narrow gorges which had been flooded by the creation of the Three Gorges Dam. Breathtaking views of wild and wonderful scenery. Well worth the trip

You have to leave your ship and take smaller river taxis to view the lesser gorges, takes about 2-3 hours all in. How much you enjoy this depends heavily upon your guide. Our party consisted of 6 such river taxis all rating their experience from great to bad. Ours was bad as the guide really never explained the history of... More

We were only able to view these lesser gorges by getting off our Yangtze River boat and travel in a smaller one. There were only water taxis flying by so it was quieter and quite scenic. We saw a hanging coffin from a long time ago. I'd recommend it.

This 3 hour river tour has spectacular scenery and fascinating historic points of interest. The small boat tours will allow visits to shore sites, while the large boats only sail the river. If the weather is cooperative, secure a top deck seat, but be careful if it is sunny and hot because there is no shade. Some light concessions are... More

We had high expectations, maybe that's where it went wrong. Doesn't mean we didn't have a nice and relaxing boatride. But we found the view not very spectacular. We expected spectacular backdrops which really isn't the case. We did see monkeys on the way which was nice. We also went to the mini-gorges and came to the same conclusion. Although... More

Went upstream in small boats into small gorges, view was good but no wow moments, if u have travelled much u likely have seen similar sights. Boat crowded, unfortunately it was raining so not the best day. I would skip it.

If you have seen the tourist pictures about China, you will find definitely one, taking during this cruise on the Yantze river. Unfortunately we visited this side when the rain was poring down, so we had to use the umbrellas a lot, what the total experience gives it a little "damper".
