if you have spare time, do visit this cathedral. It's not very usual in south east asia to find a real catholic cathedral. It's serene, gothic style. One of the most beautiful Catholic cathedral in Thailand lie in the Eastern region. Highlights included the bejeweled statue of Blessed Virgin Mary made from at least 20,000 carat of jewel, which partially donated by local people in Chantaboon waterfront community nearby the cathedral.

This cathedral makes it worthwhile for a scenic walk by the river side alongside the Chanthaboon water front shophouses on the opposite bank of the river . The wooden panel ceiling makes this church looks so majestic and it's well kept till today .

Highlight of the... More

Worth a visit this Cathedral was located walking distance from Hotel Kasemsarn through the old quarter so you get "two birds with one stone". Very "pretty" inside can't comment on the outside as we visited at night.
