Loved our visit here today. We got chairs under a huge tree in front of the restaurant Coco Tropical. Chairs were $10 euro each and with lunch/cocktails we ended the day around 5p spending about $70 euro. People were in the water snorkeling and the water was clear and warm. This was a perfect spot. The village was walkable and so colorful.

You can't go wrong to beach hop from one to another. All the beaches in Martinique somehow have something different about them and all worth visiting. We were able to enjoy the beach as almost a private beach as June is a slow time of the year.

The beach is great, but a bit crowded. We did find shade though and had a wonderful day floating and swimming. Great for snorkeling - bring your own snorkel mask etc, there is no where to rent them. A very short swim from the beach (50-75 yards?) There are some rocks that are like swimming in an aquarium. We did the beach the first day without snorkeling gear and still had a great day, 3 kids and 3 adults happy.
We parked just out of town in the free dirt lot. A quick walk to the St. Henry Church and beach.

The category is a bit misleading Petit Anse is in Arrondissement of Les Anses d'Arlet NOT Le Marin (about 40 minutes apart). This beach is right near St. Henry Catholic Church.
Overall: Best snorkeling of the trip AND accessible from the beach. Nice pier access for swimming or selfies. Logistics: Parallel parking alongside the beach. If it's full, there is also a large lot as you approach town (about a 5 minute walk to the beach). Beach: Pretty large split by the pier. Lots of food options, bathroom. Shade galore from man-made structures and palm trees. Snorkel: On the right side of the bay there is a rock jutting up - looks like nothing special, but you'll likely see snorkelers around it - it's about a 20 yard swim from shore. Incredible underwater aquarium - puffer fish, tangs, angel fish, squid, and so many more. If you swim past the rocks over the sea grass beds, you'll find sea turtles. We saw three sea turtles on our first drop, and none the second time. This drop rivals Belize in terms of fish variety and density - cannot recommend enough.

A pleasant little beach, quite swimmable, but very untidy. Probably the worst of the beaches in the area. Anse d'Arlet, just to the north, is much better.

Next time, I will bring a chair and a book and sit on the pier and take it all in for 1/2 a day.....it is just so pretty.
It is like the last scene in the movie, when the story has all been told, and everyone lives happily after....and then the camera pointing at the church from the end of the pier, pans out and fades to white....

We were here on a Sunday and it was extremely crowded - people of all ages, tourists, locals. This is located right in the heart of the town of Les Anses d'Arlet - which is adorable and colorful. We took great photos here of both the water, St. Henry Catholic Church, and the adorable buildings. Parking is really hard - narrow streets - but if you want to be "where the parties at" then I would recommend this beach.

Great little beach, church nice but a little too man-made in comparison to some other places in the area. Impossible to find a bar willing to do an aperitif, just expensive drink yes but nothing else! Stayed only half hour before heading off to friendlier area.

The north end of the beach has rocks and a small private pier where colorful fish of all sorts congregate. Otherwise, this beach is very calm with no surf -- good for small children and adults who don't want any waves. The shade is limited and parking can be a challenge. Restaurants and shops line the beach to the south end.
