Well, after coming to Mykonos town and having a nice dinner, we decided to seek out some libations at one of the many excellent bars. The music drew us out of the alley and into Lola bar. The ambiance reminded one of a speak easy. Really nice. Drinks nice, but.... Well, I guess taking pictures is a problem. We were taking some pictures in the corner and took a candle off one of the nearby empty tables. Nothing harmful or causing any maliciousness. That is when, I would guess, the owner comes over and snatches the candles from our hands and walks away. If someone is doing something that is causing harm to a business, then I understand being abrupt, but whenever there is no malicious intent and someone is simply enjoying being in your establishment, then there is a better way to handle things. Very rude and very poor in such a tourist driven place. No tourists, no money, no business, no Lola.

I understand that this is a gay bar and we are a group of girls but after seeing the amazing reviews on tripadvisor we really wanted to visit during our visit.
We went in on 2 separate nights, both early on in the evening and on both occasions the bar did not appear to be full. However, on both occasions we were turned away saying that the bar was “full”. On the second occasion we were literally heckled out of the bar by customers.
We have NEVER been treated like this anywhere before, it was humiliating and we were disgusted in the discriminatory behaviour of the staff and the customers.

I've been going to Lola for the past few years and I always remember how I get there but never how I leave the place. I have a theory that this is due to the fact their gorgeous drinks are an experience that creates a loop in the space-time continuum.
...One minute you're a jaded cynical secretary on a short vacation, the next you're a voluptuous diva full of admirers.
...One minute you're talking about how to use macros in excel, the next you're talking theories on how the bicameral mind works.
...One minute you're still bitter and thirsty from accidentally drinking the hotel's tap water, the next you're having your third divine cocktail and smelling colors, tasting perfumes and seeing noises.
...You come in with few close friends, you leave with an even bigger group with exciting aquaintances.
...You come in sour with the weight of your memories and your problems, you leave sweet with the lightness of (light to severe) drunkness, ready to dance the night away.
Space and time lose all meaning here, only beauty remains.
The bar is decorated with love and style and reminiscent of Dita Von Teese's Tudor Revival–style home in L.A (or maybe she got inspired from Lola's, who knows!), the owners are charming, smart, funny and speak approximately 4623 different languages. The staff is kind and attentive and last but really not least, the cocktails are the best I've ever had. I recommend this place both for their classic and their special cocktails. I personally have an addiction to their Vodka Martinis, but every drink I've had there was an adventure. Prices are very democratic given the quality of the drinks and services. The bar has beautiful room(s) with tables to drink as well as two patios (in case you are trying to stay in open air places due to COVID).
I hope to be back for many many years and many many adventures

This was the best cocktail experience I’ve had in Mykonos. The quality of the beverages and the ambiance make this spot memorable. Another upside is the staff, we received amazing service and felt like we made new friends. I’ve included a photo of the Pornstar, but the lighting doesn’t capture its amazing qualities, passionfruit with a champagne topper served in an etched crystal glass.

We have been visiting Mykonos for several years and seen bars come & go. We stumbled on Lola by chance one year and since then we have always returned. Lola is unique and doesn't need to present itself in a pretentious way as many other places in Mykonos do. The genuine hospitality shown by staff & the owners is second to none! So to the guy who presents himself as an isolated unknown character from Rio de Janeiro with no sense of morality.... Clearly you have no idea of what a 'quality' experience is. Thank you & good luck Lola & to all her staff, we will see you 'every' year from now on :-) xxx

I mainly went in because the name is my mom's nickname. Turned out to be a small but very nice Gay bar. I loved the decor, the ambiance. The drinks were good. Our waiter was very nice. We were lucky to find seats since it's a small place. We went in right when it opened.

A great bar good drinks at a reasonable (for Mykonos at least ...) priced drinks. Lovely music, friendly staff a nice place for that drink where you can decide between a late night or an early return to the hotel.

Lola is a really lovely and classic bar middle in the center of Mykonos. The all purple walls dive you into a world of music classics and delicious cocktails. Don’t miss to try the Espresso Martini! You will love it! Now we returned the 4th year to the island and Lola is a must stop before we stroll on to the nightlife at the waterfront! The owner as self and all waiters are gorgeous! I miss that feeling at home if I go out but each time we visit Lola we feel like coming home ❤️

Lola is a unique bar experience. It is primarily a gay bar but my wife and I felt comfortable and welcomed, even though we are a straight couple. The music play list which is created by Demetrius is unique and wonderful. The cocktails are fantastic and there are several different areas to sit comfortably and enjoy the night and immerse in the positive energy of the crowd, and the great staff.

Wonderful host and decor. Tucked away from the hustle of the shops and crowds. Open earlier than all the other bars. Go there first !

Will you be open late September? Is there much nightlife in Mykonos at this time?

The season starts to close at the end of September and by October many places close for the winter . The third week of sept it gets much quieter but you should still find most bars still open . I think Lola's stays open until the end of October
