Beautiful setting. A nice spot in Mykonos for sunset dinner or coctails
This array of beautifully coloured houses built literally in the sea can be best enjoyed and photographed from the windmills. Also there are very nice cosy bars for a night coctail or breakfast. Good fish tavernas and restaurants but be prepared to pay a little extra for the beautiful setting and view. Be aware that this is a very windy sea front.

    Quaint streets and buildings
The quaint pretty streets and buildings in the Little Venice area of Mykonos Town are well worth a visit. Be cautious of some of the bars because the prices of drinks can be expensive. We checked a few before going inside and found a sea front bar that was reasonable value. I love the way that the buildings are painted regularly to keep them white and bright. The windmills provide good photo opportunities, especially with cocktail or two.

    Charming district of Mykonos
Take a nice stroll through this charming district in Mykonos, which has very lovely paved streets. Almost every corner is a nice photo opportunity. I did find the place to be a bit touristy, with its many designer shops, but overall, the vibe was pretty chill and no one was aggressively touting or anything. Do stop by the seaside area between the buildings and the iconic windmills during sunset, it makes for pretty nice lighting and views!

    Little venice
Little Venice is such a beautiful little place, it did remind me of being in Venice for a moment. It is extremely busy with crowds, especially when cruise ships are docked but its definitely worth stopping for a moment. We stopped here to enjoy some gelato, we were hoping to meet Pedro the pelican but he wasn't anywhere to be seen.

    Can be Swarming with Tourists
This is one of the prettiest parts of town. Some of the restaurants and bars along the street have terraces that look out to sea. But be prepared, the area can be swarming with tourists, depending upon the weather and the time of the year. Nothing but tourism here.

    A picture postcard
Captivating and picturesque, a picture postcard. The narrow, winding streets are filled with artisanal or local boutiques, art galleries, and cafes, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration and relaxation. The people were extremely friendly and helpful. Whether you're passing through it is a must-visit. Please be wary of the waterfront restaurants though as the nearer you are the higher the price. We strolled though the white paved streets and found a lovely gelato store at sensible prices.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the gorgeous paved streets of this little Mykonos neighborhood.
Almost every corner offers a good angle for a picture. With so many fancy stores, I did think the area was a little touristy, but generally, it seemed quite laid back and nobody was overtly promoting anything. Make sure to visit the waterfront area between the buildings and the recognizable windmills at dusk for some really amazing sights and illumination!

I could not believe how many tourists can squeeze into these small alleys. It was a great way to see the little shops in the side streets. Best of all there was a Pelican in one of the restaurants just cleaning himself. We all just walked around him. Great to see nature mix with people and we all can work together. The shop owners are very friendly and do t hesitate to haggle for a hat or scarf.

Visited to check out the hype. It’s a nice small cove and really a little taste of Venice with its small pathways; waterside dining and strange smells.

Found the restaurants / drinks to be quite overpriced vs other locations in Mykonos although understandable as it’s very touristy. The main bars don’t open until 630pm evening so worth bearing in mind but there were a few restaurants open in the day.

It’s also very close to the famous Mykonos windmills too which is around a 5 minute walk away.

My advice? Visit once as that is all it warrants in my opinion! We considered that Little Venice was just the stretch of buildings that abutted the sea and so we visited just to be able to see what the fuss was about and we were suitably disappointed. The area is small and the only similarity to Venice is that the sea laps up to the walls of the restaurants and bars.
The bars and restaurants were, in my opinion, vastly overpriced and only suitable for those who feel that they need to be fed and watered at such establishments. There is another group of people who will visit and they are those wishing to catch a glimpse of the glitterati that seem to frequent the town.
The stretch also gets extremely busy and nigh on impassable when the cruise ships visit and the passengers descend on Little Venice.
If visitors want to be impressed visit the rest of the town which has some glorious architecture and sights to see, much better than Little Venice.

We stayed in Plati Yialos, Mykonos, for three nights. We came by bus to Mykonos Town every night. The bus would drop off the passengers not far from the windmills. Little Venice is the famous place where people go to see the sunset. An area full of restaurants and bars. It's a picturesque and pleasant place to have a drink. The only negative about this area is restaurants want to charge twenty-five to forty euros per person for the tables closest to the water. You can hang out next to the windmills and have the same experience.; ask before you sit down. I highly recommend coming for a visit.

A beautiful place for sunset and drinks. In the evening many bars with dance music. Everything is a little bit expensive but you're at 'little Venice' and this view is unique !! Friendly staff in all the different places we went. Many tourists of course, so were we :-)

Little Venice is an unusually designed part of MYKONOS that has the architecture of Venice and the sea slapping against the seawall creating a perfect setting for a splendid way to end the day.

The combination of the breeze and the sea slapping creates a rhythm that blends well with the cacophony of the people sitting and Milling Around that you don’t find in many places .

The Only thing that ruins the ambience is that unfortunately they still allow smoking and when the tables of four and six smoke frenetically it spoils the quality of air To the degree that it is unhealthy.

The whole of Mykonos town is an over priced hell hole designed entirely to serve the thousands of plastic people that arrive by cruise ship (four ships in the harbour with 10,000 people when we were there).. hated every moment. We stayed in a hotel 3km from the town as a stop off on the way to Astypelea which was lovely, but a taxi to town is €40 each way, food is mega over priced and it is mobbed. If like me you seek relaxing, quiet Taverna's and secluded beach, run away from this place as fast as you can, horrible, horrible, horrible... lesson learnt. Astypelea however is worth every minute of the 5 hour ferry journey

Little Venice is a charming part of Mykonos. The water lapping up on the building is reminiscent of Venice. The narrow alleys contain many shops and boutiques and cafes, many of which are overpriced. But it is a nice area to stroll around in.

After sightseeing in Mykonos Town and the windmills of Kato Mili, we went to a seaside cafe in Little Venice, which was within walking distance. The beach was right in front of us, and when a big wave came in, the water would get on the floor where the table was placed, which was a thrilling experience. It was the first time I'd been to a cafe so close to the beach since I was in Botomum, Turkey, so I had a really good time. I highly recommend the restaurants along Little Venice, where you can relax while gazing at the crystal clear, beautiful Aegean Sea and listening to the sound of the waves.
