After the Quite Man movie made with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara featuring the town of Cong, this statue was erected a souvenir. Watch the movie and then see the town.... it’s almost identical.

Lovely to see and so memorable, very well kept and easy to find. An exact likeness of the actor and actress. My husband lifted me in the same way. Seeing the village and statue was a dream come true, really breathtaking sites.

A nice nostalgic reminder of one of John Wayne's movies and I agree with most that Maureen O'Hara is not well represented. The town is lovely and well worth a visit.
