Small treasure trove of exhibits, from film, cameras and paintings on ground floor with the still life objects displayed next to the paintings and then cycles and illustrations on the 1st floor, with some insights in the role of the cycle in wartime as well as happy cycle racers and some of their (decorated) bikes on display. (alas no photos) Great hour or two.…

I cannot really add to what others have written, but we go in there often to view the museum that they run on the ground floor, which changes regularly.

Great display and a fitting homage to famous Portuguese cyclists over the years. Free to enter. The permanent cycling exhibition is on the first floor, whilst the ground floor is given over to temporary installations.

We spotted this when closed but noted the weekend opening hours and made a plan to return. Thoughtfully and lovingly curated by fanatics of cycling, we really enjoyed the exhibition on the first floor of he museum which overlooks the park of Caldas. Some of our family are cycling enthusiasts but most of us aren’t and yet we all enjoyed its great collection of memorabilia, posters, life stories and medals/awards as well as original bikes. As the non-cycling enthusiast, my favourite was a Hanseatic trike for grown ups!! …
