This is a really old, traditional Portuguese family run establishment with bags of character. After attending our friends wedding in the church across the road we were lead here for a drinks reception. We drank beers and Ginjinha while celebrating with friends in the gardens out the back and honestly it couldn't have been more perfect, the views and setting... More

Near the castle, old establishment that keeps its unique character. It serves the best ginginha (which is a cherry liquor) of the region and probably in the country. You should ask to be serve on a chocolate cup.

Loved the castle town setting, the staff, and especially the Giniginha (Cherry Brandy). We were there on a hot day in July and enjoyed the Cold slushy version called the "Granizo". Nice to Be able to buy a bottle to take home too. We will return again and again:)

Stayed the afternoon here in the alley filled with flowers. Drinking some beers, eat some chips and reading a book. Nice place to experience the Portugees local ways and just watch everything pass. Nice and tranquill place.

Friendly people. Facing a magnificent church only a short walk from a great castle. Plusses_ the Ginjinha drink. Minuses - no food

The place it's settle right in the middle of old Ourem Castle. You have to climb almost to reach there. Better to go by car but if you like to enjoy the nature, try by foot... but don't schedule nothing for the evening... The house that sells Ginja it's small and decorated like in the old castle style days !... More

You cannot leave this village without stopping here for a traditonal ginja. It is a traditonal grocery store, kept intact and is very interesting to see. You should try a class of Ginja (like very sweet sherry) it's lovely and the couple that run the place are very friendly.
