Great spot to take photos of Lake Como and the surroundings or simply to take in the scenery. Worth the climb up the lighthouse and even the walk to the lighthouse!

It won't be easy but you'll make it! Bear in mind that you will need some physical stamina to make the walk up there. By road it will take longer but it won't be as steep. If you decide to take the "off-road" track, be...More

Like others have said, it's quite a steep walk up to the Lighthouse from the funicular. Unfortunately it was closed when we visited during the 2nd week in October but we enjoyed the views and quietness since we were the only ones up there at...More

We took the funicolare from Como and then walked up...it took us about 30 minutes walking but it was well worth it as the views are spectacular. Please make sure you wear comfortable shoes as most of the walk is uphill and on cobbly paths.

The view is great, but the cost of the shuttle was not worth the price. It was more than 2x what the funicular cost to ride less than a mile in the back of a land rover. Then you get to walk the last 150...More

We went on a Sunday morning and didn't have to queue at the funicular and we got the last seats on the shuttle bus. When we got down, the queue for the funicular was half way across the square outside the station. So obviously my...More

A steep cobbled walk to the top from the funicolare station. there was supposed to be a shuttle bus and signs in the station confirmed this but after walking in circles for further info I asked a seller of souvenirs and was told "only at...More

You can get up by the funicular, which takes only some minutes. Up on the hill taxis are waiting for those who don’t want to climb. The walk is just 1,6 km but it’ s not easy, as the road is quite steep. But it...More

It's quite a hike up but reaps spectacular rewards. A good head for heights is required at the top of the lighthouse itself but you won't forget the views.

After having lunch in Brunate take a trip up to the lighthouse, here you will find an exhibit of Volta memorabilia - its worth it and the view is great
