There is no tram 12 from Geneva to Carouge until after August 28th 2016. Take tram 18 until it stops, the lights go out and the journey changes to CERN. Then get out and walk the rest of the way as its not far! Straight forward then go right on the bridge!

We took a walk and we had our kids with us. It was during day time. A very nice area with small shops and restaurants. Lower and older houses. We bought an ice cream in a shop and sat by a small plaza and ate it. Quite nice to just hang out and watch the few people that were there... More

This is a charming area to wander through, especially if you're looking for someplace to have lunch or dinner. Also note that the best fondue in Geneva is here at the restaurant called Vieux-Carouge

Carrouge is great. Lots of great shops and restaurants. Take hours to walk around the neighborhood and then stop for a café.

We went to Carouge for the day you wouldn't think that it was in Geneva, very oldy worldy, architecture etc. Quite christmassy which you didn't see in Geneva town

Took a bus to this area and lots of interesting shops, unfortunately got there at closing time but lots of restaurants around Village feel Next time would go there rather than city centre or old town, both of which were not very exciting. This place has more life. Old town overrated

We found our selves there by accident after taking the wrong bus. It was fantastic. Suddenly we were in a hole different area, mediteranian style housew, calmier weather, better prices in shops and food, all the shops were open even on a Sunday and the people were very polite.

We have the feeling of being in a Swiss Chalet with a low celling. Perfect for a good fondue with friend. Crowed places. Of course don't go there with your new suits...

Picturesque little town with lots of cosy restaurants and bars to hang out during the day or at night. It is really nice to stroll around and discover the little houses only up to 3 stories high.

NO CREDIT CARDS - CASH ONLY Boy, did that give me problems when you have a huge group. They have a house wine to die for. Fondues are really good here, but try the one with herbs from south of France... or the tomato one served with potatoes instead of bread (like poutine???) Place is small and busy, reservations are...
