We wife and I visited twice in one day - firstly to see the Es Vedra and then secondly later in the day for the sunset.
There is car parking available depending on how busy it is however be warned there are large holes in it so be careful if visiting in a small car. There is a rocking trail along so a good idea to wear trainers. My wife walked it in sandals as she is used to long distances in them which were fine but to go to the lower part you require trainers for the grip as it is steep.
If you are planning to visit for the sunset ensure you arrive at least 30 mins before sunset as the car park gets very busy and this was in April so the peak season will be extremely busy. The sunset looked amazing in photos with such a fabulous venue! Highly recommend!

Es Vedra is a small rocky island in front of which, on the mainland, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the islet itself and the sea, which is even more special at sunset. The viewpoint is generally quite crowded and can be reached with an easy (flat) walk of about 15 minutes. Parking rather difficult in several places given the potholes and the uneven terrain.

In Es Vedrà goats everywhere, jumping through the green meadows. I recommend seeing them from a distance, their combat horns have no discrepancy. They want to crush everything with their teeth, if they see them your sneakers will swallow them.
I took an excursion to see the beautiful islet, I almost fell and broke my neck. It is very hilly going down, there is no shortcut to go up. I am untrained and I have no resistance, these slopes left me indecent. Although it is expensive, it is also beautiful. I would repeat this excursion, with its views again I would be amazed.

Extremely beautiful place that holds many tales. Perfect for couples or group of friends. The terrain might be a bit tricky, so kids and elderly have to be careful. Recommend coming in good time to get a good place of the view. In high season the place is packed at sunset and parking options are terrible.

Beautiful panoramic point to see the sunset. I recommend arriving at least 1 hour early. Be careful with the parking lot because it is dirt and there are many potholes. The mirador is located right in front of the island of Ed will see. Dream place. Be careful because there are really a lot of people, bring water and food because there is nothing there. You park and reach the point after 15 minutes of walking on flat but dirt road.
Magical place but perhaps a little unsafe because there is nothing to protect you from the overhang. However I recommend it

From Sant Josep de sa Talaia took a taxi to Es Vedra, and hiked towards the end point where you can observe the impressive Es Vedra island. Make sure to bring some snacks and water, especially on a warm day. If you do not have a car, note down the taxi central number so you can call when you would like to be picked up. I don't suggest hiking to the nearest beach or town, as the are no hiking trails and the roads are narrow and with cars passing it could be dangerous to walk on the road.

Beautiful spot when roadtripping in Ibiza. The parking lot can be easily found and is quite big - That's a big plus as this is a popular tourist attraction. From the parking lot you'l have to go for a small 10 minute walk which is not really wheelchair accessible. Highly recommended for a small stop!

Incredible. Get there a good hour before sunset and take some drinks as some times people are selling drinks but others times they aren’t. There is a walk up through the woods until you see beauty that is Es Vedra ! The parking is a bit of a nightmare but you can park on the road also

Magnificent place. Its imposing image seen from above is something mystical . I strongly advise you to visit it . The best place to see it is on the road that goes to Cala d'hort , turn left on a dirt road , go to the end of the road and walk a little walk. The view is fabulous.Wonderful and imposing. Not to be missed

We drove to Cala D'Hort and enjoyed the view from there and then drove back up the steep road to make another stop on the right-hand side at the gravel parking lot. From there you also have a fantastic view of Es Vedra. In April everything was relaxed in the morning and there were parking spaces available.

Hiya, does anyone have the what3words or detailed guide/video of how to get to the hippy cave please? I plan to pop the question here and would like to have a solid plan in place of how to get there before going rather than winging it. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, Im off to Ibiza tomorrow for my annual visit and really want to get to Es Vedra this time. I am staying just outside Ibiza Town. Whats the best way to get to Es Vedra without a hire car, and not wanting to do an organised boat trip? Ive hear there is no bus route so would a taxi be the best option? I just want to go for the sunset and take a few pictures really.

You can either get a Taxi or a rent a Scooter / Quad if you cant rent a car. If you go by taxi ask them to get dropped of or picked up from either the road for Torre de Savinar here you can walk about 600 metres to the mirador de Es Vedra this is where the old cave is that you can go inside. There is parking at the end of the road and when you walk beyond the parking you can either take the path to the right to the mirador or take the path to the left to the view down to Atlantis Sa Pradera. It's a difficult walk down and even more so back up from Atlantis and not really advisable in the Summer or without proper shoes is can be quite dangerous so best to just enjoy the awesome view that looks out from the top. You can also get a taxi to drop you off at the Cruz de la Contanadores en Cala DH'ort from here you can walk to another view point next to a house called La Roca.If your feeling more adventurous you can walk along the cliff top path to the right from La Roca and where there's a pilar in from of Es Vedra you can walk down to the spring..... Parking Mirador de Es Vedra is further down the hill towards the beach and this is where the coaches take people. If you are still here and have not visited yet. Have Fun!!

Get the to take you to the refuse containers at the Cala Vadella cross junction on the way down to the beach and then get the taxi to drive along the track to a house called La Roca. Explore from here and then it’s about a 15 min walk along the dirt road back to the containers to get a taxi to pick you up. From the house La Roca walk towards the beach along the cliff top, you’ll probably have all the campo to yourselves and breathtaking views. Enjoy

Hi - I will be in Bossa in a fe days and want to finally make it to Es Vedra for my 10th trip to the island. Any suggestions on how to avoid car hire / taxi and get there on cheaper transport? Thank you!
Written June 24, 2018
hi hayley,
0nly way i can think of (with your conditions): when you're there post an "ad" to ask for someone who happens to go by car that direction and pick you up near/at (platja d'en) bossa on the day you want to go. or someone who goes by car to a meetingpoint for walkers who join for a walkingtour by "walking ibiza" and then you, joining yourself. very worthwhile i promise.
good luck, enjoy your stay
