Easy to find and right off the highway, this park is a great place to go if you want to go for a nature walk but don't have a lot of time. You can easily go for a nice walk and be home in an hour or so. The park features an old forest, with trees over 200 years old.
There is a parking lot, bathroom facilities, and a large picnic pavilion if you want to eat. There are benches scattered throughout the park so you can rest or enjoy the scenery.
There are two main hiking loops with the larger one being 1.5 km. There are some hills, roots and rocks but the trails are great for everyone, whether they hike often or not.
The park is right off the highway which means you can hear the traffic if you are near the edge of the property. But once you go further into the park, the sounds fade away and it is quite peaceful.
Pet friendly. No bikes.

This park is set up as a single hiking trail. We came up for fall colors and had a decent experience, as it was a rainy day and we luckily got there right after a rain and right before another one started. It is a nice little area, and one which is worth a stop for those traveling along the busy stretch of Highway 7.
