Beautiful place, I can reccomend it without doubt. One of the most interesting points to see in the area. As of my knowledge it is one of the biggest abbeys in Europe. It offers a variety of space to explore. Unfortunately, the towers and the majority of rooms are unreachable, due to the dangerous conditions. But I noticed that the facility is during the renovation process, so I hope it will be available soon. Other attractions are the royal hall, summer refectory, royal dining room or a plane tree. There is also a restaurant, with a decent choice and prices. I recommend to take the local guide or come here during some events, because it gives the opportunity to see much more than usual.

If you love historic place this is a place to be discovered. While it still needs lots of renovation it looks impressive. The renovated rooms make your imagination work trying to picture how the whole cloister could have looked like in the times of it's glory. Great place for photographers.
The guided tour would not be the same if it wasn't for the young passionate about his job tour guide Mr Patryk who has the rare ability to built bridges between the past and the present. His stories relate to contemporary world and people making the past more understandable.

Massive Baroque monastery in huge dimensions, contrasting with the lovely village and countryside around. It's not in a good shape after 70 years of neglect, but still very very impressive and romantic in its picturesque countryside setting. A must and highly recommended!

Well, it was hard find parking and a way to get to the building due to lack of signage anywhere, but once you get it you will be able to join a tour that begins every hour on the hour. This is an immense religious complex in a state of total disrepair due to various political and historical circumstances. Two giant rooms have been restored to their former glory. You also will be shown a shell of the former abbey church. The place makes you think about history and it teaches you to appreciate the efforts and work of the conservationists. The guide speaks only Polish so the best would be if a Polish friend takes you there and translates. The foundation that takes care of the place should consider hiring at least one person there who speaks English. But the visit, even if you don't understand a single word, will be totally worth the time.

The say it is the biggest (or second biggest) Cystercian abbey in the world. Don't miss it! Although a big part is not renovated, it is still amazing and has some of the most impressive interiors... have been restored to their original beauty. The visit is an overall unique experience. The place has a fascinating history and is impressively large. On the grounds there is a very nice traditional restaurant with really good Polish food (don't miss pieroggi z miensem fried!!!) and excellent service...

We stopped here on a private tour from Wroclaw. It's an old Cistercian abbey with some really nice rooms with ceiling and other decorations. It dates back to the 13th century. It's well worth a visit. Unfortunately, the church interior was trashed by the invading Russians in WWII and hardly any of the interior remains. There's also a really nice restaurant next to the grounds with reasonably priced Polish food. Check out their website (it's in Polish but has nice pictures). www.fundacjalubiaz.org.pl.

A beautiful location that we coincidently discovered while cycling through the area. The abbey left a big impression on us. Certainly takes a full day to visit, so we only viewed the outside and the main hall. Very impressive, we will come back!

Lubiaz Cystercian abbey is said to be the second biggest one in the world. Though still vast parts of it need renovation, the ones already restored, Prince’s Hall in particular, will certainly stun you!

Although the town itself is nothing special, the abbey is gorgeous and definitely worth sightseeing if you're in the Lower Silesia region. (visited in 2014 and 2016, but TripAdvisor lacked such option)
