Buying a membership here, or even if you're a walk-on & like to have an early t-time is fruitless. Even though purchasing a membership entitles you to 7 day advance booking you will never get an early t-time because they provide preferential treatment for the first t-times to a select few who are guaranteed & don't have to adhere to the 7 day advance booking policy with membership. I suppose this goes on everywhere, but it's annoying, regardless.

A group of 12 ladies booked for Monday ladies golf special which includes 9 holes, a cart, supper and a beverage for $40.00. All landed on Sep 10, excited for the experience, which we do every year. We were informed the last event was a week ago. So why book us in for Sep 10th? We asked what compensation could be offered. The answer was none! "You can golf for $35.00 + tax". The going rate. What a deal! "Nothing we can do". An apology but nothing else. There was a number of things that could be done.... How about, half price and a beverage? How about, so sorry, play 9 and just pay for the cart? How about a rain check for next year? My goodness, what has happened to customer service on PEI? Is money grabbing that important? Did you fill the three tee times? Unfortunate, disappointing and frustrating, especially for those who travelled a distance to enjoy the evening.

One of the better courses in PEI. We played it in July with excellent weather . Well worth a play. Noticable was the great staff in the Proshop. Kudos to the staff.

Long time user of trip advisor, first time of felt compelled to leave a review. It’s long but you’ll get a sense as to how they treat non-members. I’m not the best golfer but I play a variety of courses here on the island as I spend my summers here. This was my first time at Glasgow Hills and was very much looking forward to it. Arrival was great, welcomed by a young guy, confirmed our tee time, put bag on the cart and I parked the car. Pro shop while paying was very nice and welcoming. We hit some balls on the range, did some putting and then it was time to start our round. Hole 1, the starter was great, gave us insight on the course and was very friendly. We were off and feeling good. Greens were very fast but I was playing bogey golf through the first five holes and sun was shining. As we were coming up the 5th one of the workers mentioned we should pick up the pace as we were a bit off. I was a bit surprised but acknowledged and continued on. Approaching hole 6 the starter said we were a bit off the pace. I was surprised as traditionally I’m not slow AND there was no sign of the group behind us (we hadn’t seen them since the 3rd hole. We finished the front 9 in 2hrs and 7mins. A reasonable time in my opinion. Certainly not a time that would expect you to have been told twice you had to speed up. Now the fun begins. On the 12th hole I’m waiting to hit my second shot, my brother is looking for his ball along the rough. I see the starter driving towards me. He looks flustered, exits his cart walking towards me carrying half a bucket of range balls. “You are going to be out here 5 hours, here take these Fu%$ing balls and tell your friend to stop looking for your ball” he proceeds to dump the balls in the dash cubby of the cart. I’m now in shock, he’s swearing and very upset. I share with him that we were 2hr7min on front 9 and that the people behind us were atleast a hole behind us so if he’s worried about the pace of play for the course, we aren’t holding anyone up and playing at a reasonable pace regardless. He responds “don’t worry about them worry about you, you’re going to be out here 5 F%?ing hours” he then gets back on his cart and drives to my brother telling him to get moving. At this point the round is ruined for us, it’s hot, we are being rushed and what had started as a relaxing start to vacation (my brother was visiting from Toronto) with family was an awkward experience. I’m not used to be cursed at while I’m paying for an experience of any kind. I made a point on the 16th hole to look for the people behind us again to gauge our pace of play. I was on my 2nd shot of 16. The par 3 15th was empty and the par 5 14th was empty. So we’ve been rushed and cursed at, balls thrown in our cart, told to play best ball and we are more than two holes ahead of the group behind us. On the 17th a young guy drove by, my friend said he was sorry if we were holding things up. He said he was sorry for the starter and that our pace was fine. I finished the round. Put my clubs in the car and went in to talk to the manager. I shared my experience, she apologized and was nice. Her offer to make it right was offering me some mussels. The mussels are free with your round.... so while she was nice it was an offer that I was entitled to with my round. It felt dismissive. I said no thank you. I got in my car and left. 4hrs and 35 mins after my tee time I was driving out the driveway. I had finished a round, put my clubs away, changed my shoes, gone in complained to the manager and then got in my car and left. I feel that’s pretty reasonable timing. I feel how I was treated was not reasonable and the offer to make it right was a weak effort. I won’t be going back. I often golf at Eagles Glenn, Green Gables and Anderson’s Creek. The staff are friendly, the pace of play is good, courses are just as nice and I promise you you won’t be cursed at or rushed. I wish Tripadvisor allowed videos and not just photos as I’d share the video of me on the hole looking back over the two empty holes behind us.
