Review Highlights
Pretty little building.

Cool, quiet, within the castle walls. Plain and unadorned interior with a famous religious painting.

The duomo is distinguished mainly for having a Giorgione in a small side chapel to the right of the altar. Otherwise, while not unattractive, it wouldn't attract much attention.

I wouldn't drive out of my way, but if you are in Castelfranco and find parking near the civic clock tower I'd say stop in to visit the church. There's a collection of artwork and the duomo is impressive.

There aren't many paintings thought to certainly be by Giorgione and this small town has one of the best. It's his hometown which makes it even more special. Bit of a walk from The railway station, particularly in the heat. The Giorgione Madonna is in...More
