My wife and I did a couple of dives with the crew from Coco Diving Center. Very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive staff made for a wonderful experience. We had hoped to do more dives but the wind during our stay in Cuba did not cooperate. Our first dive out, there were 11 divers and 4 dive masters. The dive masters showed real concern for the coral reefs as one of the divers was wearing free dive fins and had on too much weight, This caused the diver to hit coral on a number of occasions. Seeing this, the dive masters pulled the diver up from the bottom and stayed with him so he would not do any more damage to the coral.
On the second dive, it was just my wife and I. Given the wind/sea conditions were at the dive center limits, they could have easily canceled the second dive as I am sure there was not much money in it for them. We had a great dive by ourselves seeing so many different types of fish and coral. We did see a couple of nerf sharks and a bunch of lion fish.
I would highly recommend diving with Coco Diving as one can tell they love what they do and have concern for the marine ecological environment they work in.

We went to Cuba this time specifically for scuba and we very pleased with all the staff at Coco Diving. So friendly and very helpful from beginning to end. We did 6 dives and we had one challenging day when the boat was rockin' and rollin' from the waves but we were well taken care of thanks to the strength and skills of Ernesto and Leo (Roberto) plus the boat crew. On other dives, we had the help of the very experienced dive masters Rene and Noidel. Then there was Yail, the office manager and all round enjoyable person to be with. So happy to have chosen this location for a new experience.
We stayed at Iberostar Daiquiri which was a short walk along the beach to the dive shop, and we would recommend this resort as a perfect combination with Coco Diving.

Excellent Diving, Customer Service #1
Sharks, eel, turtles, rays, and plenty of gorgeous fish
We stayed at the Grand Muthu and walked the 20 mins down the beach everyday to the Coco Diving Center.
We booked our diving trips directly with Yail instead of booking it with the resort. She is always in good humour and finds Excellent price packages for you. Sorry I threw up so much but enjoyed myself all the same. This was our third time and won’t be the last.
Btw They love candy, nutella and maple syrup if you are going to be visiting.
Merci Pat et Jaclyn

This is for the dive shop in Cayo Guillermo next to the Daiquiri hotel.
Pros:
Sea life is pretty good all things considering. Lots of groupers, schools of fish, reef sharks on the deep dive.
Affordable
Cons:
Dive center is disorganized. They say show up at 9am for the first dive, but everyone shows up late and the boat typical leaves at 10:30-10:45am. They should cutoff people who arrive late and make them go on the second dive.
Boat mechanical issues and equipment issues where common. Boat battery issues, main boat wasn't working one day and only 1/2 engines working on the backup boat. Leaky BCDs, ripped mouth pieces, leaky regulators etc...

I was staying at the Hotel Mojito & decided to do a 2 tank dive while I was in Cayo Coco. I contacted Coco Diving centre & they were quick to respond, provided a taxi to pick me up at the hotel (it is about a 35 minute taxi ride to get to the dive centre). Very reasonable price (I think I paid $100 CDN) for 2 dives, which included gear & transportation. As I was diving without my regular dive buddy this trip they paired me up with another experienced diver. Dive sites are relatively shallow (the deepest we dove was 56 ft), fantastic visibility. Healthy coral, & a scattering of sea life including a few eagle rays, a spotted moray eel & (unfortunately) a lionfish or 2. The two sites we went to were within 10 minutes from shore. The dive boat is pretty small & are moored about 50 feet from shore so you walk to the boat with your gear on (minus fins) and get into the boat via ladder. Because the boat is small , during the surface interval you will either go back to the shop to exchange tanks, or you will get dropped off at a small beach while the crew goes & does gear/tank exchanges for the next dive. Back roll off the boat. Gear is decent enough. It works, does the job it is supposed to. No complaints. I wish I would have planned on doing more diving the week I was in Cayo Coco as I would have loved to do a few more dives with them. Great staff, great crew. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had our first dives in 7 years and this dive center was amazing! They made us feel very comfortable but didn't hover over us, gave great feedback and let us enjoy our dives!
The first dive we saw a lot of rays and barracuda, the 2nd dive, not much but small fish however the drift dive was an amazing experience with lots of beautiful plants growing from the coral.
I would highly recommend seeing these guys if you plan a trip to the Cayos, easy to get to, very accommodating and a great experience!!

I had 2 great dives with Coco Diving Center. There is surprisingly a lot lot of sea life in Cayo Guillermo, on my first dife we saw a dozen of reef sharks!! The center is well maintained, with good equipements and the divemasters/instructors are top notch. I wish i did more dives with them, unfortunately the weather wasn't very good the week I went.
I highly recommend diving with them, but take some bug spray lol there is quite of few mosquitos around the center.
Thank you everyone for the great experience!

We went diving with Coco Diving Center twice last week, and had a great time! I was more then rusty not having worn SCUBA in over 15 years, and never in the ocean (only the frigid lakes of Ontario) but Noidel got me up and running. My husband and son did a beginners dive with Rene (who also takes amazing photos and videos!! He charges $45USD and it is well worth it) and he got them in love with the sport. I would highly recommend this team. They know their stuff and are quick to respond. The reef is absolutely gorgeous, and I am jealous this is how they get to spend their days:) We will be back guaranteed.

I am a CMAS open water diver with 100+ dives and found this dive centre to be competently run with excellent staff. We did the 'El Perrito' and 'Servimar' sites. USD $83/2 tanks. The Servimar site was much more interesting with a wreck, moray, stingray, barracuda and a giant grouper that followed us like a lost puppy. Very rough swells so boat entry was tricky and there were sharp edges on the ladder. I brought my own mask and fins. The regulator mouthpiece was chewed but quickly replaced for my second dive. Check your equipment carefully. Recommended.

Hello,
Our gears are reserved for our paying customers. However, there is a Nautica center right beside us for the hotel. They would gladly rent it to you as long as you stay at the Melia Cayo Guillermo and give them your room #.
Also, we do take clients for snorkelling to far from the beach area where a lot of corals and fish are there. If you are interested in, it's 25 cuc per adult, 15 cuc for 12 years old and under per trip.
Please come visit us at the dive center.

Hello Margaret,
Grand Matu is 2 resort hotel away from Coco Diving Center. It takes about 20, 25 minutes walk on the beach. If you take a Bus, their schedule is limited though it's 5 cuc all day long. Please check out our website for the bus schedule. If you take a taxi, it's 10 cuc round trip. You would need to make an arrangement with your taxi driver to organize your trip directly.
Hope this helps.
Sorry for no getting back to you earlier.
Have a good day.

Hello,
We are SSI authorized dive center. However, we do have one instructor with PADI instructor license. If you want to take a Class and Pool portion of PADI license, our instructor can finish your 4 Open Water Check-up dive and sign a paper work for you to take it back to UK to get a full OWD license if you prefer PADI over SSI.
If you'd like to take SSI Open Water Diver course here in Cayo Guillermo, it's 365cuc, which is probably around 302 GP pound or slightly higher with exchange rate.
You can start studying online by going to Dive SSI website and register yourself there and download MySSI app on your smart phone or tablet, and study up to 4 chapters. When you finish, you can let us know when you are coming, and we can release the remaining 2 chapters to complete your academic study. Once you come, you watch the video and instructor will go through everything with you.
Unless you come with others also want to take the course with you, we normally teach one on one private lesson.
I'm sure you would learn better that way than having 10 people in a group learning from one instructor.
Should you have any question, please feel free to contact us again.
Thank you.

Is the dive centre at The Melia Cayo Guillermo OR The Pullman, I keep reading different things. Their website says the Melia, but recent reviews say Pullman! Help, I'm confused.....

We "Coco Diving Center" are located at Melia Cayo Guillermoin Cayo Guillermo.
At Pullman Cayo Coco (40min away in Cayo Coco, not in Cayo Guillermo) has another dive center called Blue Coco Diving Center. We are under the same parent company Marlin.
However, we highly recommend you to come join us here at Coco Diving in Cayo Guillermo because we have much more marine life than Cayo Coco where we used to locate years ago.
There is a 5 cuc all day bus runs between Cayo Guillermo hotels to Cayo Coco hotels. Travelling time would be around 40min each way.

Me gustaría bucear con ellos, pero no sé si hace falta reservar las inmersiones previamente
