The cheapest place you can dive or learn to dive in the world. The staff is great, the equipment is a bit well used, but the prices are ridiculously low and they don't skimp on safety. Highly recommend these guys for your first time trying diving.

Wonderful team at Coco Diving Center, exceptional staff and great diving experiences to be had.
was in the area for a week and completed 4 dives over 3 days, witnessed reef sharks, nursing sharks and thousands of fish.
would certainly come back to Cuba just to dive here again.

My family returned to Coco Diving this month for the 3rd year - this time to become certified divers! I can't say enough about the team here - Yail, Julio, Livan, Roberto, Noidel - extremely safety conscious but also very customer service focused, honest, accommodating and above all just a lovely, friendly bunch that always make us feel welcome, like family. Be sure to reach out via email (on their site) before you go - and ask about the weather (we learned the winds in April can making diving iffy on some days!)
Whether you dive or snorkel this team is sure to give you an amazing experience with many dive sites that they know intimately. We will be back next year...or sooner!

We went to Cuba this time specifically for scuba and we very pleased with all the staff at Coco Diving. So friendly and very helpful from beginning to end. We did 6 dives and we had one challenging day when the boat was rockin' and rollin' from the waves but we were well taken care of thanks to the strength and skills of Ernesto and Leo (Roberto) plus the boat crew. On other dives, we had the help of the very experienced dive masters Rene and Noidel. Then there was Yail, the office manager and all round enjoyable person to be with. So happy to have chosen this location for a new experience.
We stayed at Iberostar Daiquiri which was a short walk along the beach to the dive shop, and we would recommend this resort as a perfect combination with Coco Diving.

Another great visit to Amazing Coco Diving ! This is a well run friendly dive center. The staff is expert and safety is paramount. I saw one of the dive masters explain to a rookie diver that he really needed a refresher dive and an 80 foot dive was not a good idea after a four year layoff.
Rene is an excellent dive master - patient and good communicator.
The reefs are in ok shape - lots to see - on servimar today we saw reef sharks, moray, big stingray, baracuda, nurse shark, tuna, a top notch 50 -55 minute dive topped off by a school of dolphins by the boat on way back to the dive center.
Prices are good and if you call in advance Yail will organize a pickup and drop off at your hotel . You will not get this kind of service in Cozumel !!
Gear is getting older - but is understandable since they are just recovering from COVID shutdown .
If you come to Cayo Coco - book with Coco Diving

We had very low expecations going to Cuba to Dive....but wow...did it ever blow our expecations out of the water...
Excellant customer service from our initial emails before leaving canada with a couple questions to the last minute we left the dive shop on our last day!
We stayed at Starfish Cayo Guillermo and on dealt with Yail directly for all Dive related things. She set up our taxi on the first dive from our resort so we didn't have to walk the beach there with all our gear (we brought out own). Most times we walked back and forth which was about a 15 minute normal walk along the beach...such an amazing start to any day!
Things to know, (which after the initial shock, was absolutely a well oiled routine.) You gear up at the dive shop and walk with tank, gear and weights down to the water and then walk in the water a bit to get to boat and climb in. This is due to shallow waters in front, making it unable for boat to dock close. It can be very difficult for those that struggle with cardio/back/injuries above water.
Pricing is super reasonable and all dive equippment is included which is amazing (although we brought our own)
Yail makes sure she gives you her best pricing. She combined our dives instead of dinging us for 5 dives each....thats huge for us!
This would NEVER affect my rating since it was such a small part of the entire experience and everyone, divers included always helped one another!
Due to winds we were unable to dive our first three days, but last few days made up for this.
The Captain, the Mechanic Danielle on the boat were always helping in and out when they could!
Staff....AMAZING! Yail, the direct contact for all reservations is so helpful, pleasant, smiley, and eager to hear all the stories, even though she's heard more than her fair share I'm sure hahahaha
Elandro(spelling??) and Renee were gems...They made our dives so safe, calm, chill and beyond! Very respectful of the reef and surroundings, and I also noticed Renee came up with some garbage every single dive...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! we miss you guys already!
Our most favorite and best dive to date (divers for 10years) was La Finca site....we saw a massive turtle, MAKO shark, black tip shark, carribbean sharks, nurse sharks, rays, goliath groupers and soooo much more... The universe must have given us everything we missed in our first three days of being unable to dive lol
We are planning to go back in feb 2023 and hope the hotel that it's situated on will be open for business and we can stay right there!!
Yail, Renee and Elandro, from the bottom of our hearts to yours...Thank you and we can't wait to see you all again soon (hugs)

All the staff at that place are amazing, very professional and friendly. If you’re coming for scuba, please bring with you some AA batteries. They need them and there is no place to buy.

My wife and I did a couple of dives with the crew from Coco Diving Center. Very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive staff made for a wonderful experience. We had hoped to do more dives but the wind during our stay in Cuba did not cooperate. Our first dive out, there were 11 divers and 4 dive masters. The dive masters showed real concern for the coral reefs as one of the divers was wearing free dive fins and had on too much weight, This caused the diver to hit coral on a number of occasions. Seeing this, the dive masters pulled the diver up from the bottom and stayed with him so he would not do any more damage to the coral.
On the second dive, it was just my wife and I. Given the wind/sea conditions were at the dive center limits, they could have easily canceled the second dive as I am sure there was not much money in it for them. We had a great dive by ourselves seeing so many different types of fish and coral. We did see a couple of nerf sharks and a bunch of lion fish.
I would highly recommend diving with Coco Diving as one can tell they love what they do and have concern for the marine ecological environment they work in.

Excellent Diving, Customer Service #1
Sharks, eel, turtles, rays, and plenty of gorgeous fish
We stayed at the Grand Muthu and walked the 20 mins down the beach everyday to the Coco Diving Center.
We booked our diving trips directly with Yail instead of booking it with the resort. She is always in good humour and finds Excellent price packages for you. Sorry I threw up so much but enjoyed myself all the same. This was our third time and won’t be the last.
Btw They love candy, nutella and maple syrup if you are going to be visiting.
Merci Pat et Jaclyn

HI there - arriving in April and my grand-daughter wants to do some snorkeling, can we just borrow the mask, fins and snorkel so she can do it from the beach?
CocoDiving69410
Cayo Guillermo, Cuba
Hello,
Our gears are reserved for our paying customers. However, there is a Nautica center right beside us for the hotel. They would gladly rent it to you as long as you stay at the Melia Cayo Guillermo and give them your room #.
Also, we do take clients for snorkelling to far from the beach area where a lot of corals and fish are there. If you are interested in, it's 25 cuc per adult, 15 cuc for 12 years old and under per trip.
Please come visit us at the dive center.

Is the coco diving center clise yo the gran mutu resprt? Walking distance, or taxi. How much?
CocoDiving69410
Cayo Guillermo, Cuba
Hello Margaret,
Grand Matu is 2 resort hotel away from Coco Diving Center. It takes about 20, 25 minutes walk on the beach. If you take a Bus, their schedule is limited though it's 5 cuc all day long. Please check out our website for the bus schedule. If you take a taxi, it's 10 cuc round trip. You would need to make an arrangement with your taxi driver to organize your trip directly.
Hope this helps.
Sorry for no getting back to you earlier.
Have a good day.
Hi how is your equipment ? Do I bring my equipment?
CocoDiving69410
Cayo Guillermo, Cuba
Hello,
Our equipment is in very good condition and it's included in the price.
We try to accommodate the best we can, however, gears are first come fist served basis during both high and low seasons.
Our rental gears include: mask, fins, snorkel, regulators, bcd, tank, weights, tank and wetsuits.
We do not rent dive computers, SMB (surface marker buoy), underwater camera, noise maker, torch & indicator lights for night diving.
If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Cayo Guillermo, Cuba
Hello,
We are SSI authorized dive center. However, we do have one instructor with PADI instructor license. If you want to take a Class and Pool portion of PADI license, our instructor can finish your 4 Open Water Check-up dive and sign a paper work for you to take it back to UK to get a full OWD license if you prefer PADI over SSI.
If you'd like to take SSI Open Water Diver course here in Cayo Guillermo, it's 365cuc, which is probably around 302 GP pound or slightly higher with exchange rate.
You can start studying online by going to Dive SSI website and register yourself there and download MySSI app on your smart phone or tablet, and study up to 4 chapters. When you finish, you can let us know when you are coming, and we can release the remaining 2 chapters to complete your academic study. Once you come, you watch the video and instructor will go through everything with you.
Unless you come with others also want to take the course with you, we normally teach one on one private lesson.
I'm sure you would learn better that way than having 10 people in a group learning from one instructor.
Should you have any question, please feel free to contact us again.
Thank you.

Is the dive centre at The Melia Cayo Guillermo OR The Pullman, I keep reading different things. Their website says the Melia, but recent reviews say Pullman! Help, I'm confused.....
CocoDiving69410
Cayo Guillermo, Cuba
We "Coco Diving Center" are located at Melia Cayo Guillermoin Cayo Guillermo.
At Pullman Cayo Coco (40min away in Cayo Coco, not in Cayo Guillermo) has another dive center called Blue Coco Diving Center. We are under the same parent company Marlin.
However, we highly recommend you to come join us here at Coco Diving in Cayo Guillermo because we have much more marine life than Cayo Coco where we used to locate years ago.
There is a 5 cuc all day bus runs between Cayo Guillermo hotels to Cayo Coco hotels. Travelling time would be around 40min each way.

Me gustaría bucear con ellos, pero no sé si hace falta reservar las inmersiones previamente
