Really well organised place for ski rental. they allowed you to drop it off at any of their outlets. Staff are very helpful we also got private instructors - but there was a difference in quality standard. one instructor was really excellent but the other didn't provide much helpful feedback.

We had two kids joining the ski school. One joining a group and the other having private lessons. Both had a really good experience. At the group they have lunch break for 1,5 hour which we found too long. You cannot expect to have danish talking guides.

The meeting point for drop off and collection is now beside the Marchenweisenhütte, to get there you can ski down a blue run from the top station of the Planai gondola or for absolute beginners there is the Hopsi lift. For beginners the choice after ski school is limited to taking the Hopsi lift. The problem is it only takes 14 people, takes about 10 minutes for a round trip and there isn’t any funnel for queue which means lots of jostling and queue jumping with a mixture of small kids, learner adults, and lots of parents. The first day our kids were at ski school the Hopsi lift broke down at collection time and as we were worried about missing the gondola down the mountain we had to walk up the steep red piste beside the lift... not fun in ski boots carrying skis, helping kids with their gear. Weather was very cold so by the end of the week even the ski school thought staying in the hotel after lunch was preferable to skiing (which I totally agreed with) but in that temperature and snowstorm people had to queue for an hour to use that awful lift. Luckily our kids had progressed that we could take the Marchenweisebahn up to the very top and ski down to Gondola but some days the wind caused that chairlift to shut down. The other option for intermediate skiers was to take the Fritzblitz (magic carpet type thing opposite the Marchenweisebahn) and a combination of blue roads and red pistes down to the Mittelstation. The situation would be improved if collection point was moved up the slope as it would eliminate the parents taking up places in the Hopsi box. Btw the other ski school has exact same issue...

We arrived tired with injuries, our teenage daughter went off happily with Eric the first day and then enjoyed the ski school for 3 days. I decided to have a lesson just to say I had been on skis: Alex inspired me, an elderly lady to ski every day and ended up with a ski run to the bottom of the mountain. ⛷😊 special thanks to Alex🙏

Very good school. Adjusted to our requirements and requests we made each day. Every day we went a bit further down and on steeper slopes and on day 5 to the very end of Planai - all of this credit to Stefan L (for 4 days of training) and Oliver (for 1 day of training :)) The full day course is 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon and while we meet between 10 - 10:30am the training actually doesn't start until 10:30am so do ignore the previous review as clearly the person didn't read instructions and timing. The instructors we had hold international level certificates and are superb. We had an amazing week and will be coming for more soon! Thank you!!
