I am a frequent visitor, and if you are anywhere near Chard, the Reservoir is definitely worth a visit. Lovely spot, birds and wildlife to see, lots of areas for the kids to have fun - and great walks.

A lovely tranquil place to visit. Surprisingly good facilities including bird hides. Popular with locals all the year round. Take your dog.. Lots of history, as it links into The Stopline Way.

Beautiful peaceful open walk around the reservoir and through friends. Kids enjoyed it also. Bird hide was closed when we went though.

A beautiful place to walk dogs & free parking too, not many places offer free parking these days. Dog poo bins dotted around is a bonus too.

Tranquil and beautiful, well worth stopping in for a stroll around the reservoir, then onto the path that I believe used to be a rail line to find other interesting spots.
