Very nice place, with a lot of palms that apport a beautiful picture. In the sides, you can see a lot of stores, and Chifles stores, that are very good.

Nice city square. Many restaurants around the square. Banks and money change offices. Come and sit on a bench and watch the locals.

Plaza de Armes is an oasis of green in the centre of Piura. It is a small park with walk ways around it and seats to sit on but is very busy because of the traffic around the outside. Around the outside you can find a group of large churches, some shops and a couple of hotels. There are not... More

Plaza de Armas in Piura is very nice, there are always people walking and sitting around it, there is a lovely vibe, specially at the weekends, the main square is the city centre, the only downside could be sometimes you can see some female and male prostitutes. During the day is a very good place to sit, relax and see... More

Plaza de Armas is a small square in front of the cathedral. I visited after Sunday mass finished. Many book vendors had set up booths on the perimeter. As the sun is strong, the shade provided good cover.

The Plaza de Armas is a nice stop on a walking tour of the central part of town. Piura is somewhat spread out so it may be easiest to take a taxi here and start your walk. Very nice shade trees and a few cafes surrounding the square for lunch or snacks.

Nice place to take pictures at night. Just be careful, like every city there is always some unsafe areas... I do recommend the fruit and salad bar opposite of the church which is also a vegetarian restaurant( first and second floor) ... Nice benches and nice area

The main plaza is generally pleasant. It's not as big or as grand as some of the others in Peru, like Arequipa, but it's alright. You can look at the church, walk down Grau Avenue, sit and relax, etc.

I wanted to spent 2 to 3 days there and rushed off early in the morning after having spent one day and one night there. The people are unfriendly, the city is dirty, I've almost been robbed (fortunately figured out that something was wrong just in time). No special architecture or monuments - just skip this place and go to... More

The plaza is a great place to enjoy an ice cream cone, have your boots waxed, and people-watch -- especially at night. There isn´t enough shade during the day, and the lighting isn´t as pretty. Only, good luck finding a bench!
