Fogo Head is a more challenging hike than Brimstone Head and the view is just as amazing with better views of Fogo. We only went to the first lookout, the stairs and trail were very well maintained. Parking is nearby but no bathroom.
There are other trails nearby that you can explore.
I would recommend doing this bike after Brimstone Head.

This is one of 4 trails in the community. Leaving Fogo Head parking lot it is a climb to great views of the islands off shore.

Stayed at Twillingate.
Took 8am ferry.
Did 3 great hikes.
Disappointed Fogo Island Inn visit.
Return by 2pm ferry.

Brimstone Head Trail

Travel to the top of one of the four corners of the flat earth.
2 km return (challenging)

Fogo Head Trail

Fogo Head trail is located in the northwest corner of the historic community of Fogo. Hikers will enjoy panoramic views of both the ocean and the community at the summit which stands 338 ft above sea level.
0.7 Km (moderate to hard)

Lion's Den, Shoal Tickle, Eastern Tickle, and Lock's Cove - Fogo

Tried to go to Fogo Island Inn.

The guard stopped me from visiting Fogo Island Inn and restaurant at dirt road entrance.
I mentioned I came from Hawaii to go to restaurant and only guests allowed.
Hawaii hotels have the warm Aloha!

Fogo Island Inn was cold and rude. Can't walk up to the hotel because it is secured like a prison.

I was disappointed and left.
It was an adventure to reach this location by ferry and a long drive from St. John's airport.
My photo shows how far I was.

Trails were great.

Just back from an absolutely fantastic trip to Fogo Island. We hired a local fellow Roger to show us around the island. He has lived here all of his life & showed us the attractions as well has some hidden gems. Don't be afraid to ask a local. Fogo head trail, we did not take the hike, but enjoyed the view from the interpretive site. Spectacular view. There re several small museums on the island & very reasonably priced at $5. Fabulous hike up the Brimstone Head Trail. This is an easy hike & a definite must see .Marconi Station is an interesting stop. The famous Fogo Inn on Joe Batts Arm is something to see. Take a drive to Tilting, beautiful white sand beach & lots of photo ops. You really need 2 full days to truly enjoy all the little island has to offer.

We hiked up here on a foggy day in July and it has a lot of stairs but its a great cardio hike and they views are amazing because the fog lifted just as we got to the top. While in Fogo you should take this hike in, once you reach the top you are at one of the 4 corners of the earth. It gets windy up there so hold on to your hat

This is a stunning trail. We were staying at Aunt Glady's Old Salt Box House which is nearby and this trail can be combine with Brimstone Head Trail. This is a difficult trail, but for the people with difficulty walking. The view is stunning on top. It ends at the site of an ancient battery/ small fort (1784-1815), then you have to return on the same trail. There is a series of long staircases leading to the shoreline which you will have to climb on your way back. I saw a black fox along the shore.

A moderate climb to the top up a series of steps but could be a bit daunting if you do not like heights. Views are great al around and during our climb we could see whales out in the bay. Worth the visit
