The views of various valleys while travelling from Shillong to Sohra are absolutely breathtaking, Mawkdok is probably the most famous and hence the most touristy of these viewpoints. There are some unnamed but equally good (if not better) valley viewpoints along the way.

Take a quick stop here for the beautiful valley view. Make sure to eat local food at the small shack in front of the Nongkhlaw cafeteria it looks shady but serves, awesome chapati , dumaloo and boiled egg for Rs.50.

One of the many beautiful places that you will cross while travelling from Shillong to Cherapunji. The viewpoint offers an amazing view and is easily accessible from the highway. Stop for a quick snack and some cool photos.
