While taking a trip to Carnac we stopped at Guerande and walked through this ancient walled city. Since it was lunch time it was pretty closed and so more of a "sleeping beauty".

We walked around the town after lunch on a Saturday in October. It was busy but not impossible to navigate. The main church is spectacular and particularly interesting. Lots of little souvenir shops which are all over-priced but very pleasant nonetheless. Sel de Guerande on...More

Very nice place, worth visiting! You can find parking outside the medieval city, it is free from September to June. Inside the medieval city there are several stores, bars and restaurants.

My husband and I accidentally found this beautiful place to walk around, shop, and eat some of the best pastries, ice cream, caramels, and the list can go on and on. We will return here when we move to France! 🇳🇱

We went to see harvesting of sea salt and then decided to pay a short visit. At the very end we spent there more than 3 hours. Lovely and lively city. It has specific charm. Not too many towns in Brittany have a charm. We...More
