A place to be in Siauliai. Have very strong meaning for people who lives there for the meaning against russian that have before, now is tourist place specially in summer, as is located in the middle way to Riga from Vilnius a lot of buses stop in summer. In anyway if you´re around have to go, recommended.

The hill of crosses was quite difficult to get to as it had no direct transport links but it is definitely worth the journey. Once you get there it is just shocking how lsrge the site actually is and how many crosses there are. Very unique.

The Hill of Crosses was a beautiful experience! It is not too far from the Siauliai hotel. You can request a taxi and it is about 20€ to go roundtrip, and the taxi driver waits for you! Please dress warm!!

This is a magical place for both believers and non believers. A must visit when in Lithuania. It is esp. nice on a clear blue day with snow as backdrop.

Travelling as a family with two young kids from Vilnius. Decided to make it a day trip from Vilnius instead of stopping en route to Riga to avoid hassle from bringing luggages along, which seems to work well. We took the 10am train from Vilnius Central Station (9.70 euro for adults & half price for children) arriving at Siauliai Station... More

Exceptionally true to its name: Hill of Crosses. Nothing more, nothing less. But LOADs of crosses, tens of thousands. Also has a rich history as a quiet demonstration of the strive for independence and autonomy in times of occupation. Well worth a visit.

This hill is very impressive.Thousands of crosses in every size from every material you imagine is on the hill.If you travel by train take a taxi to go to the hill because is outside from the town. The cost is not too expensive.I think 20 euros and was waiting for us the driver.

It's a place near Lithuanian city of Siauliai is full of small and large crosses, there are thousands of them. It doesn't clear enough wheather the crosses put here for the causes of memory or some other reasons. It is one of the strangest places I've ever seen and for sure I can recomment it if you travel across Lithuania... More

This is exactly what the name implies. It is a small hill with thousands of crosses. If you stop at the little rest station just before the hill there is a vendor there that sells different sizes of crosses and you are allowed to setup a cross. The only caveat is that you can't disturb an existing one which one... More

I'm not a religious person, but like to feel I'm spiritual. This site is truly inspiring. The sheer amount of crosses here boggles the mind. The Russians attempted to dismantle this place but pride and belief restored it, definitely an interesting site.
