From Vilnius to Siauliai is about 2.5 hours of train. & from Siauliai, grab a taxi for about 15 mins. Tip: ask the taxi driver to come back to pick you back to the train station. There was absolutely nothing nearby and the main road...More

We hired a car from Riga and drove here as it seemed too difficult to do on buses. The trip took just under 2 hours each way and was an easy day trip - well sign posted and an easy drive even though we're used...More

Being in Lithuania I heard about this most unusual place and decided to visit from Klaipeda, though it can easily be reached from Vilnius as well. The hill itself is in a quiet area away from the main city. Wandering amongst the thousands of crucifixes...More

Unless you are highly religious , this "attraction" is boring and in some ways even creepy. It is a throwback to Soviet Union times when religion was not allowed. The Soviets took down these crosses time after time but by the next day they were...More

This is our second time to visit the place. It is such a sacred and holy ground that it somehow gives the feeling of peace and tranquility in the soul. Crucifix or crosses can be bought at the entrance. Buying from the local sellers help...More

They say there are around 250,000 crosses here - surely there are more!! There are huge ones, tiny ones, home made ones, marble ones, ones to commemorate loved ones and ones donated by large organisations (and I could go on!). Have a look for the...More

I can't do this place justice. It's incredible. I mean, a bit weird, and I'm still not entirely sure what we saw, but it's something to behold. Thousands and thousands of crosses - some amazingly detailed and tiny, others huge - that you can spend...More

We rented a car in Riga and wanted to go for a drive. We thought this would be a good way to spend the morning. What a surprise. Amazing place. Would definitely recommend stopping off and seeing this.

Strange place, a bit scaring. A must-see in the Šiauliai area. Bring a camera with a good lens to take great photos.
