Flekkefjord is a charming white town and the Dutch quarter is the most charming part of all. I took many photographs here and enjoyed reading about some of the area's history. The tourist information centre is located here, in the same premises as a tailor...More

There's a store where you can taste and buy different types of cheese, chocolate, sausages etc. It is all very inspiring and it's difficult not to buy more than you can carry. All personal in the town wears traditional clothes. Many windmills.

Very pretty, serene cluster of little lanes with charming historic buildings. If you want to really stretch your legs so the half hour pull up the hill overlooking flekkefjord to the viewpoint.

We made a little walk in this town, through the harbor and ate some ice. We hoped to see more history, so we where a little bit disappointed.

If you like history and architecture you will enjoy this simple walk through the early days of Flekkefjord. We saw beautifully restored old houses with the occasional surprising modern mural. A very creative area. Along the way are plaques with photos and descriptions. You can...More

As a Dutch guy, arriving on a bike in Flekkefjord, I needed to spend time in Dutch Town, of course. I left my bike at the hotel and took a walk through the 3 streets, where absolutely nothing happened. And as a matter of fact...More

The houses have a certain look and the area is calm. From time to time there are description panels with pieces of history from that area containing facts about the houses you see. Windows are beautiful and the shore itself is interesting. We found a...More

Picking up an A5 leaflet at our hotel we were able to walk around the streets of the Old Dutch Town, clear notice boards in Norwegian and English at points of interest gave a clear description of the area and it's history, together with pictures...More

No people in the streets, nut sun illuminated all the white houses, the flowers decorated chambers, a picture I would like ever forget. Some sounds were mysterious, some people play the piano in the second floor, others installed a modern divise, it was surreal, theatrical.
