We visited six years ago and missed the Penguins by an hour due to a delayed flight and horrendous traffic. This time no mistakes and we had a whole day. We first went to Nobbies Arctic experience and was guided around by Amber ( she...More

Purchased the plus seats which I would definitely recommend. The general seating is a zoo! Especially when it's busy on weekends. Underground viewing is out of the cold but it seemed a bit limited if you weren't in the front of the glass viewing. Arrive...More

We've always loved the penguin parade. Even though it's freezing in the winter, it does help that daylight is shorter and the penguins come back early in the evening. We loved the attention of the staff. My mother was on crutches and they immediately suggested...More

10 of us of various ages all travelled to see the penguins. It was Magical and all enjoyed it. We paid $50 for the viewing spot near the beach and it was well worth the money. The penguins are so entertaining the hour passes so...More

Kids loved seeing the penguins up close from the underground viewing. Upgrade well worth the money as out of the winter weather conditions. Went on a Sunday night and not that busy.

The penguin parade is brilliant. The little blue penguins are smaller than might be expected when on the beach but the view from the boardwalk is great The only criticism of the place is there is nothing else to do. The 2 shops could be...More

We took a day trip down to Phillip Island specifically for the penguin parade and was really impressed by the infrastructure that supported these wonderful animals. Like many others, we took our seats on the grandstand area and eagerly awaited the first glimpses of the...More

It was so exciting watching the penguins came up from the sea and marching up to their cave on the hills. Unfortunately it was rain in the middle of the show so we had to move to find a shelter. It's very educational activities and...More

We drove to the Penguin Parade from The Nobbies Centre via an alternate dirt road. We saw some really pretty rugged coastline & several families of Cape Barren Geese. We did the Ultimate Penguin Experience & felt it was worth spending the extra money. On...More

My understanding is that there are different combination passes to see multiple attractions. The key recommendation that I would have is to choose Penguins Plus as the penguin ticket. Hope this helps.

The rangers do an approximate count of the penguins coming ashore every night. I don't remember exactly what my guide said about the numbers for each month, but there's a lot of info on their website and a contact form there... More
