We had the VIP Pass for the Penguin Parade which gave us our own Ranger who toured us personally. Our Ranger, Mitch did a great job in explaining the life and habits of this little bird and we were given front row seats in the...More

Sometime foreign travelers get my goat - we were advised over and over and over that photography was NOT PERMITTED but did the foreign travelers pay any attention??? NO - this made our trip and visit much less enjoyable and I suppose the penguins were...More

The penguin parade has been around for a long time. I first went there in the late 90s (think of Spice Girls!) and recently went back there in Oct 2017. Make sure you get there at least 30 mins before the show starts so that:...More

I was fortunate enough to see the penguin parade a little over 20 years ago and remember it as a great experience. I therefore recommended it to friends when we were in Melbourne. Sadly I feel I let them down. It is a massive commercial...More

Visited with my two children. We all enjoyed it. Definitely need to rug up with layers, coats and blankets. No need to get there too early as many people leave 10 minutes into the penguins arriving, and you can then get a front seat!

The actual penguin parade is a great experience but I'm rating this 3 due to the Cafe service being 0 out of 5. I get it. It's a tourist spot away from the city so prices are a bit high but don't make the ripping...More

Well with the extra for the guided tour. We learned so much about the penguins and get a prime view of the penguins coming up out of the ocean into the beach then up to their borrows. Sabrina, our guide was very passionate about the...More

My partner and I decided to spend the extra money and purchase the "Ultimate Adventure" package at the penguin parade and it was absolutely worth the additional cost! There is a maximum of 10 people in the group and you are taken over to a...More

The beach is lovely, the penguins all come right on time. And they are super cute. But it’s hard to imagine that 500 people, low level stadium lighting, guides with microphones and lots of movement and chattering is actually good for the penguins. Not to...More

You are asked to get there about an hour before the penguins are due in and it will be about another hour of viewing once the first penguin comes out of the water, depending on numbers. Don’t rush, enjoy the walk back to the... More

It all comes down to how much you want to pay for your experience. The layout of this attraction is so good that regardless of how much you pay you will still be able to view the penguins up pretty close so you won't be... More

Pass is good for the same day and anyway the penguins are not around during the day time. They are out fishing and are only back when the sun sets. Alternatively, there are some penguins at St Kilda's Pier, which is open to... More
