It's difficult to get a parking space at this beach. It's probably best to go early in the morning. We went around 1 pm and tried several times, but it was impossible. What was frustrating was how cars behind us were able to get in after we were told to turn around. So, we returned around 3:30 pm and finally got a parking space. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely worth the wait! While the beach itself isn't very big, the water is surprisingly very warm (in July) and shallow. We walked far, far away and the water was still shallow. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset. It's the only sandy beach that we encountered in our travels around Tobermory. Definitely worth a day trip here! I love being able to walk right in without hesitating because of the water temperature! I would definitely go back!

We paid for parking and visitor passes for the Big Tub lighthouse and it included visits to Halfway Log Dump and Singing Sands. For the price we paid, we made sure we were visiting all 3 to get out money's worth. I'm glad we stopped here, it is a beautiful sandy beach. Wasn't too busy when we went (mid Sept). Nice boardwalk & hike as well. The concession stand wasn't really open as it was during the week when we visited it but the gentleman was setting up for the weekend and still served us coffee.

Beautiful place but I am concerned about the X walk from the parking lot to the park. It is a poorly painted crosswalk with no stop sign. People roar right through, and they need a day time Stop sign on each sideof the walk. We are all anticipating that there will be a multiple tragedy and then the sign will go up...

It's unfortunate they added a guard house. It takes up a quarter of the already small parking lot. Now someone stands in the building and yells out the window that the lot is full. We'll maybe I could have parked and paid my parking fee otherwise.

Cute small beach, beautiful sand and very clean water. Utilities are basics but well maintained as it is part of a national parc.
The parking lot is very small, but at the same time, it limits the amount of people on the beach.

Nice place in hot days with the kids, there is a nice beach and the water stays very shallow for a long time. We just wanted to check out the place, but the parking costs $27,50 cad which is way to expensive for just checking the place out. So my advice, if you don’t have kids, there is nothing for you here to see, save your money!

Walking across the street form the parking lot one feels as if one is walking through a 5 star resort entrance, clean, a nice path, a beautiful sign, gorgeous sand, friendly staff that monitors the beach and ask less responsible visitors to tidy up their cans .
For us adults, a bit disappointing that one cannot really swim here, but it is a pleasant site..
Parking fees are $11.70 per a car, but hen it also adds a fee for each person (that noone cheeked in my case, you just leave the parking ticket on the dashboard)..

Be prepared to wait if the parking lot is full. No problem. We understood it was 2:30 pm on the Sunday of the Labour Day Weekend.
The pay kiosks were extremely difficult to use, and everyone seemed to be having problems with them. You had to key in number of people, with different categories for children and seniors. We never did manage to enter three people, just two. It doesn't really matter how many people you have because no one checked our ticket on the way out anyway. And they would have no idea how many people were in your vehicle once you exited your car and put your ticket in your window.
We paid $23. We did not go for the beach but for the nature walk.
The beach looked great! Long and wide and very shallow, great for kids, not so great if you actually wanted to swim. There are change rooms and you can barbecue on the beach, we gathered, because there was a disposal receptacle for hot briquettes.
The nature walk was so disappoing. About 300 metres off the boardwalk, the path was impassible. It was covered with water that stretched about two metres out beyond the trail. There were signs warning of poison ivy so we didn't want to venture too far into the bush, but it was impossible anyway because it was so wet and mucky. If we'd worn rubber boots, no problem, but ankle high walking shoes/boots weren't sufficient.
It was a dud, especially since we paid $23 for about half an hour in the park.I understand flooding issues but perhaps Parks Canada could send out an employee first thing in the morning to ensure the trail is passable and if necessary, put some sort of plank or straw to allow acces to the major portion of the trail.
There were no employees around to explain our plight, just a municipal employee directing traffic.

Visited this beach while touring the Bruce peninsula. After the Little Cove beach where the waters are crystal clear , I was slightly disappointed by this beach. In addition, all beach facilities were closed due to COVID. But it's a very shallow, secure beach, so must be really good for families with little kids. Indeed, you could see lots of kids in the water. The water was warm and clean, so it's still a good option to enjoy a dip, if Georgian Bay beaches feel too cold or deep.

Our reservation at The Grotto included parking at Singing Sands. They’re very close together on highway 6, so we checked out Singing Sands. It was late in the day, and there were very few people there. Water was too cold for swimming, but it was extremely shallow and would be great for little kids in warmer weather.
Washrooms were very clean. The snack bar was open and there were a few people in line, so I didn’t see everything they had for sale.
The scenery is beautiful, so check it out!

For the 2019 season do you have to buy a parking pass to access the singing sands beach and to park !?!
Written July 5, 2019
Check with the visitors centre. Tried to search on the web but couldn't find out. We just paid to park for the time we were there, pay at the machine. Just walked into the beach area, no charge, but water level is high currently I believe.

Hi there, what's the fee to park? Is there parking at the beach separate from parking at the main bruce provincial park lot? We just want to visit the beach and not pay the $11 parking fee for the main provinvial park/grotto area.

Singing Sands has just reopened with major upgrades. I am sure that you are supposed to have the parking pass that is good at all locations including singing sands.
go to the parks Canada website and search for singing sands. Thereis an update on all the changes. It is now finished and open, including the new parking lot across the road. Would send link but TA does not allow me to.

Hi Aya,
You can BBQ at Singing Sands. We ask that you stay within the beach area and don't go beyond the trail head. Please ensure you clean up after your BBQ and if using coals, dispose of your coals in the coal receptacles provided on site.
Thanks.

Hi Theresa,
You are allowed to BBQ at Singing Sands however we ask that you use the charcoal BBQ disposal receptacles on site to properly dispose of your charcoal after use. Disposing of charcoal improperly creates a fire hazard and a mess for other visitors. We also ask all visitors to only use BBQ's where charcoal disposal units are installed and not bring BBQ's beyond the trail heads to the coastal areas.
Thanks.

Is there an entry fee or parking fee?
Written July 10, 2017
With Canada 150, there is no parking fee or entry fee to all Parks Canada sites. This doesn't guarantee access as that depends on parking availability.
