Climbed up at night during the weekend, so was extremely busy. Unfortunately on the way up a pick pocket took my phone, I was so gutted, first night on sri lanka! Just be careful, be aware, there are big crowds squashed together at some parts....More

Hiking Adam’s peak in the middle of the night for sunrise seems a quintessential Sri Lankan travel experience, and we enjoyed it but know that it is more a pilgrimage than a nature hike (as you are surrounded by crowds, many people struggling, trash, etc.),...More

We climbed on 18th of April and we started at 1:30am, we were 100m below the summit at 3:30 and then qued till 7:30 when we turned around still 15m short. There were so many pilgrims and because of the high angles, vegetation and people...More

I was so excited for this after doing little Adams peak, it was not as I expected at all. I would only recommend doing it if you're religious. It's just one big commercialised walk with shops selling over priced food and tacky toys all the...More

We decided to do this climb since it was deemed as one of those once in a lifetime things if you are in Sri Lanka. While I don’t regret we did it, I’m not sure if it was totally worth it. We started our climb...More

Surprisingly easy to navigate, this climb is somewhat gruelling; however certainly achievable. The views at the top make any pain worth it! We commenced our trip up at 2am and reached the peak at 4:30 am after a steady ascent. This gave us ample to...More

At the beginning, I expected it would be long hours to climb up the stairs for non fitness person like me. Apparently, it took me just a bit less than 3 hours including human traffic jam when almost reaching the top. The thing that I...More

You do require good footwear and a level of fitness, especially because it is pretty steep on the way down. I had brought my trekking pole and was very thankful. You are encouraged seeing the elderly locals or young couples carrying young infants up the...More

Yeah definitely, it's much better to go at your own pace. There is a community feel with everyone on the steps anyway so you won't be on your own. Taxi - unsure as we got the bus from Hatton which was 130 Rs for two of us... More
