The journey was unpleasant due to the condition of the vest provided that was tron down and not well cared. Later, when the bot starts to hit the village sights, it was nice to sight view the building structures established by the fisherman who lived along the river streams. The thrilling part was when the bot was maneuvered to the... More

Went with a group of friends for the cruise. Though not spectacular, it was still a very enjoyable outing. Went in 2014.

This is something one needs to do at least once: see red eagles swoop around food thrown out in the water. After that, take a slow ride around the waterfront housing community to see the local business activities.

This forest is just half an hour's drive out of Taiping and it is very beautiful. Indeed there are no guides to give more life to the visit but the forest by itself is simply wonderful. Some pieces of wood on the boardwalk are missing so be careful there, especially if you bring kids who skip ahead of you. Didn't... More

Nice place and relaxing. RM10 parking fee per entry. Get a lot of knowledge related to mangrove. Facilities need to improve. No clear signboard to guide tourists back/ getting out of the mangrove

I have been here about a dozen times and it's a wonderful place but .... I would advice to forget the boat trip with the officials. These people have very little knowledge of mangrove, all they can really tell you is how many trees can be cut and many meters around the trees need to stay free. Here's what we... More

2nd time here. Entrance fees sky high to RM 10.00 per car! The walkway to the mangrove stream in poor condition. (watch out) No guide to brief more about the forest.. (Ironic the opposite charcoal owner give free talk and free entrance) Will not back again

Traveling north from Taiping town, you come to Simpang's cross-road. Go straight and the road will lead you to Kuala Sepatang. Just before reaching the small town of Kuala Sepatang, on your right, you will see the sign of the mangrove forest reserve. You have to pay RM15 if you are a foreigner (Malaysians pay RM5) at the entrance. Wear... More

The park is quite small and it took us less than an hour to walk all the way around the whole park at a leisurely pace, but this does not include the river cruise which we did not do. If you want to try birdwatching, the walk would take longer, especially since it's not easy spotting birds among the trees.... More
