About
Also spelled Tad Gneuang, this is a 40m high, truely picturesque waterfall surrounded by beautiful nature. Be careful when walking down to the pool of water, the steps are slippery. At the entrance to the falls (signposted well on road 16E at Km 40) you'll find food and drink stalls and a restaurant.

The melodious sound of the waterfall makes you wanna stay for a couple of hours, just relaxing and enjoying it's beauty. This is a great place to visit, just a few km. away from Tad Fane.

You can walk down to the bottom of the waterfall and get completely wet or you can splash your feet in the pools just meters before the water goes over the edge. There are covered seats if you want to enjoy a picnic.

We visited during the time of closed international borders and there were very few visitors but there were plenty of sellers trying to keep up an atmosphere that was sadly lacking in most places we visited.

Not too far from Tad Fane but much better. You can walk down and get very close to the water fall. There are places to bring your picnics and have a great time. The coffee and restaurant in the compound has a great view and serves foods from fresh local produces

Lovely waterfall!tou arrive at the top and then have to walk down about 200 steps you see it from the bottom. Worth it though. Reasonably nice restaurant with good food. Areas to paddle st the top but lots of locals sat around watching made me feel to conscious.

Overall a nice experience. After passing the entry fee point, you will first encounter some “ souvenir” stalls mostly staffed by very young female vendors. Be aware, lots of the items on sale are “made in China” although you may find a good bargain on ethnic arts & crafts. To see the fall(s), one needs to descend a rather steep set of stairs. The two falls itself make for a rather nice view; it is a pity that there is no real secure area for swimming at the bottom of the falls.

Probably the most picturesque of all the 3 waterfalls we visited. We rented a tuk tuk from Miss Noys bike shop to see three waterfalls and it was well worth it. 10k entrance fee and there were some food places available close to the waterfall. Don’t get the papaya salad there though, it smelt like wet dog!

The waterfall is beautiful, like a postcard... but there is a large bus parking and many Thai tourists on week-ends. The restaurant is ok but expensive. There is a hidden walk path going to the top of the next waterfall Tad Fan. I knew it from the nkm Bolaven guidebook : it is in the middle of the coffee plantations... a bit labyrinthic. Many other walks exist from the neighbourhood waterfalls : Tad Etu... going to a unknown plateau called Dan Sixay. Once again, I knew it from the off the bitten tracks nkm guidebook.

Tad Yuang is only 40km away and 12km from Pakxong district, Champasak province, Laos.
From Pakse and Pakxong is well paved road, but before reaching the water fall is unpaved road. The waterfall is very well looked after and beautiful. You can see the beautiful view from the top of the waterfall, but if you want to see the main waterfall, You will have to follow the stair to the bottom, which takes you about 10mn. At the waterfall area, there are room for rent, souvenir shops and surrounded by lots of coffee plants. During October till the end of January the climate is very good.
Visitor who want to visit Tad Yuang can combine the trip with Tad Fane, which is only 2Km away.
The entrance fee is 10,000Kip(1,2 USD).
