Long drive over gravel road to arrive at a beautiful spot - lovely lighthouse very old but interesting. The views of the water are amazing.

In my view, this is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. It is somewhat remote, with a long drive off the main road to get to it but absolutely worth it. The buildings are beautiful and perfect vintage time capsules. If...More

Quaint out of the way lighthouse, we didn't go in but there is a store and bit of a tour I think. We went just for the sunset and weren't disappointed. Beautiful cliff to walk to and sit to enjoy the sunset.

Touring the old lighthouse and reading all the history was really interesting. Then hanging out on all the rock shores fr the afternoon and watching a sunset at about 9pm was highlight of the short trip to the Island

Interesting information on the history of the Light House and it’s keepers as you make your way through this historic landmark. Well cared for now. I cannot imagine the grit and commitment it took to be one of the first lighthouse keepers.

This historic lighthouse is also a museum and campground. Well worth the 10km gravel road to get there. It rests on the extreme western point of Manitoulin Island. There are many shipwreck stories which point to this location including the famous wreck of the Griffon,...More

Had a fantastic May long weekend at the lighthouse. Not sure what the previous reviewer was implying about not being able to tour the lighthouse to the top. The actual trap door to the light bulbs is kept closed, as it has a very important...More

Yes, Dogs are welcome everywhere on the site and "on leash" and 'Poop & Scoop" are both encouraged. The last day for visitors is Sept 14th so don't delay!
