Already ridiculously restrictive (boardwalks and cameras), two of the three stopping points were closed on the day we visited. It is basically a shuffle from start to finish and it takes a lot of dodging to get around the Chinese selfies and posing! Distracting from...More

The park itself is not very large, but it has much to offer from lakes to mountains. It is nicely maintained, so you travel through the park by bus or boats, both highly convenient.

We spent a lovely day here. After being pretty tired out from a couple of strenuous days, we opted for the bus. It stops at all major points and there's a guide who introduces the park, however it's all in Mandarin. A relaxing day with...More

The scenery at this park was simply breathtaking. Once you step into the park it feels like you're in a completely different world, kind of like Middle Earth. A must visit place in Shangri-La. Tickets are priced at approx RMB300 (inclusive of return bus ride...More

Ride a bus from place to place. Piles of yak poop everywhere. Perhaps if you live in a big city, this would be exciting outdoor views of a new kind.

We visited Putatso (also spelt at Pudacuo in some references) in May as part of a Chinese tour organised by my wife who is also Chinese. Like most places we've been to in China, visits are well organised by the authorities, but tightly managed. So...More

Clean air and lovely scenery of lakes and mountains if you enjoy nature you should not miss it. There are hop on buses within the park and boardwalks are easy for all to enjoy the park itself.

We went in May, when it was dry. I would think it would still be beautiful in the rainy season, but some of the views over the mountains and lakes may not be as clear. I'm sorry I don't know about the bus, although the park... More

It is still too early for spring blossom in late March. It is better to visit Pudacuo in May and June for active wildlife and sea of flowers.
