Our first but not our last Via Ferrata. This climb was one of our favorite activities. It was scary but not too scary, physical but not too much for a moderately fit person and I felt very safe with our guide Franchesco. Views are stunning and reaching the apex was exhilarating.

Excellent for beginners but also a very nice Climb for anybody else. The view is brilliant. Don't let the looks from down the road fool you. It's not as steep and scary as it looks like from beneath.

We use this via ferrata as a quick way to get to the climbing crags above Laghel, and it can get very crowded with slow groups, but there are good passing places and a very enjoyable view.
It’s easy enough for beginners (lots of little kids do it), a summit cross ‘to bag’ and a nice walk past the crags to Laghel.

Colodri is renewed and the last "difficult section" is covered. Now the hole ferrata is good for climbingkids. Wonderful views to arco, in the end you see the castle and nice gardasea.
We will return next Year.

This is the easiest clip-in climbing trail in the area. If it's hot, start EARLY. Great views from the top.

Great introduction to via ferrata. This is an easy route, very scenic easily accomplished by our 2 boys aged 8 and 10. We went in the afternoon as the wall was in shade. Equipment rented from the campground Arco. As they close at 6 pm, we returned it at the reception of the campground. Getting to the starting point, look out for the signage and markings on the rocks.
We took our time and enjoyed the ascent. From the top, it's a 45 mins walk down through the forest, village and the town. As usual in Italy, we stopped for a mandatory Gelato.
Since the children loved it, the next morning, we decided to do the Rio Sallagoni via ferrata near castle Drena. We hired equipment from the same place albeit at a discount. This ferrata is a different experience altogether through a canyon. Like an adventure to the unknown. At some parts, my 8 year old was unable to reach for the cable, easily solved with a little help from his dad!
Midway the canyon opens up to a "lost world" garden. There a hanging rope bridge, a short walk up a steep log stairs..then the path forks. Turn left is the exit to castle( signs)and going straight is continuation of the ferrata through a short canyon which is a bit wet with about an inch of water at the time. We finally exited at a farm land and a short walk to the castle. The it's a walk down hill to the parking lot.

Good start to an adventure week. For experienced climbers, it's easy. For beginners, there's definitely a thrill. I guess you need to be mindful of your footwork. Most of the time you can walk easily. The cables and iron bars are well maintained so you can be assured that its safe. But of course, reduce human error by making sure that you unclip n clip one at a time. There are some polished rocks so always be wary of where you step, my approach shoes slipped on some polished rocks, i can't say the same for runners or trekking shoes.

Approach is quite straight forward from camp arco. Just follow the red and white painted markers. There's an area at the start of the ferrata for you to gear up so there's no need to gear up from camp arco.

Descent is somewhat straight forward. On the way down we followed the red and white markers. But once after the chapel, we got a bit confused and followed the directions to castello arco which led us to the town with all the climbing shops so we had to walk back to camp arco to get our bikes.

This can be done easily without a guide provided you have the gear, a map and the know how of how to do it. You can rent a ferrata kit at the camp arco hut or get a guide.

Summary: great location(near town) and good ferrata route for all.

The Via Ferrata del Colodri is easy & scenic. A beautiful walk down, & not too airy for those who are scared of heights.

We took helmets and some climbing gear but you can hire it locally. What a sense of achievement for my son and his friend to get to the top by climbing properly but with the security of the via ferrata just in case. The walk back down was interesting too. Take plenty of water and do it early or late on.

It's nice and easy so could be possible for families with children. There are another few Ferratas but you need a car.
