The beach was 20 min from where I was staying , walking. Several restaurants along the beach for lunch appetizers snack or any kind of drink or refreshment. Nice long beach for running walking swimming, not very crowded during the week. Probably crowded on week ends and holidays.

Get here before the developers spoil another beach. This is a lovely beach still mostly used by the local fishermen. Big beautiful sand beach. Be sure to check the tide reports. The Pacific tides are high and sometimes there are rip current.

Decided to go on a road trip to Santa Clara, best decision ever! The beach has white sand and the water was perfect. There are many restaurants where you can rent a small ranch for $25 a day. Great get away place and really close to Panama City

The beach is a nice dark colored water with gold sand. Facilities are difficult as they want to charge for everything being a public beach. Food sold is not good so its better to bring your own drinks and food. Nice place to spend a day but nowhere to stay for the night. The only motel is a riggedy low... More

Great beach, food was excellent and friendly canines. We drove from Panama City with virtually no traffic. Headed here after being in el Valle in the morning.

A new restaurant has opened - or should I say re-opened - on Santa Clara beach - beside Las Verenaras Restaurant - by David and his wife - the former owners of Scorpion Mini Super in Santa Clara. They have built a huge bohio and patio - expanding the space and offering great chicken, fish and burger dishes. Service is... More

I ran the length of the beach for about four kms and hardly saw a soul, very nice! Of course it was low season.
