About
Laguna Dudu is an exciting and mostly unknown paradise located on the north east coast of the Dominican Republic. It's surrounded by natural cliffs from which to swim, snorkel or free dive into refreshing clear waters. If you love adrenaline rush then try a zip line freefall from 10 meters. You may need to take a deep breath for this adventure. Once you finally takeoff for a subjective six seconds drop in thin air, and finish with a big splash. But it's also a spot worth visiting for it offers a cave to explore, a beautiful cove with other challenging experiences. There are stairs leading down to the water which enables smooth and easy access to both lagoons. With nature to explore and plenty of photographic spots. A visit to Laguna Dudu can easily be combined with two additional beach activities since it's located within minutes between two playas (beaches) Diamante and Arroyo Salado. Your next adventure awaits you. Come, explore and show us your favorite spot.

An attraction with level, it is a well placed and organized place, its main attraction is its waterhole (cenote) which is beautiful, it has slightly salty water at a good temperature, it has platforms to rest and ropes to hold on to, in addition to the zip line It is high and for the intrepid and brave (if you don't like it you can get hurt, it's not easy), they give the directions, there is a person in a boat for safety. They rent life jackets and lockers, it has a large restaurant, changing rooms, they also have two more open cenotes, one like a cave and another very nice one where you can't swim, it has some small caves as well. A very nice place to spend the day at an affordable price.

Nothing without interest apart from a flowery and very well maintained park
There is nothing to do, a cave to see without interest! And 2 lagoons, one of which is not great and the other pretty with tironienne for paying extra!
What can I say about the restaurant, nice staff but nothing is homemade, from chemicals to pina colada drinks, just disgusting and chemical, nothing natural and the food is scary!
In short, to escape it's better to go eat a sandwich on the beach

Really nice but you should get there early.
It's a very nice facility and I can only assume that it can get busy.
The smaller laguna is great for swimming but to really enjoy the water, get there early so have the place to yourself.

You can zipline and drop into the larger laguna but follow the guide lines when you drop into the water to avoid injury.

Make sure you are not cheated with the entrance fee! Today we paid DOP 700 for two of us. Seems it is not a fair price.
A lot of yelling people. Terribly loud music.
The place is good but is not worth DOP 700 and a long journey.

A nice place to spend half a day (then spend the other half at Playa Entrada, which is a 5-minute drive). The lagoons/cenote are beautiful and the water is just the right temperature and very clear. Water shoes are recommended. Nice facilities and a reasonably priced restaurant onsite. The entrance fee is reasonable.

Serious safety incident
Oct 2023 • Family
I just left the Plaza de la Salud, in Santo Domingo after a concussion since I jumped down the zip line at Laguna DuDu. Now I see comments from the owners saying that it is a “shame that people focus on the zip line when there are other things.” The first thing is that they should go to prison for allowing such a dangerous thing to operate in that place. There is no one who does anything
Type of restrictions when climbing.
Nobody tells the Clients that the blessed life jacket cannot be used underwater, since you sink from the strong impact when you fall and it is many, many meters. I was drowning, I lost consciousness because the vest itself wouldn't let me out. Until a few die there, they will continue with that open. I'm dazed, I have amnesia and PTSD. I hope we don't see each other in court

Visited on January 3rd, 2018. The zip line is managed by locals in an informal manner (no real protection and no medical staff in case of emergency). The drop is very high, when I plunged into the water the impact was so strong that I suffered a concussion. I had to go to the hospital in Puerto Plata (2 hours away) to get a MRI, everything fine but in a lot of pain. 5 days latter my back and neck still hurt.

In the hospital they told me it's very common to get injured patients from this place.

The water and lagoons here are very pretty and there are also some caves you can walk into if you want, but I would steer clear of the zip line. I fell pretty much right away once I dropped off the platform because I was not prepared for how much slack was in the line. The zip line itself is not very firm, and you have to hold on very tight. There is a rope that hangs behind you when you are hanging on, but once I started dropping the man that was supposed to be showing everyone what to do threw the rope after me and it got wrapped all around my arms and legs. I got very bad rope burns because as I fell the rope cut into my skin and I was bleeding pretty badly. A man came over to me in a kayak and told me my cuts looked pretty bad while I swam myself to shore, but other than that remark there was no immediate attention and others continued to zip line. Once I climbed the stairs to the entrance of the zip line, I was ushered over to the restaurant where someone applied a huge bandage to my wounds.
I was not able to swim for a few days because of the cuts and my arm hurt to move for over a week. I now have a permanent scar there.
Another man also got a concussion the last time we were there and a young woman was doubled over on a towel in pain because of her fall as well.
Please be careful if you choose to do this. Better yet, stay clear if you want to stay safe.

This place is called Dudu Blue Lagoon A beautiful vacation escape. Great area for a picnic or a day to relax. They have a restaurant and 2 swimming holes. They had scuba diving, a park, and some animals to check out. By far the best thing on our trip! TIP: if you are under 200 pounds and want to do something awesome! You can zip line and jump into the lagoon! It was AWESOME! Just make sure you with your feet otherwise you are going to get pretty beat up from the fall because it was a good 50 ft drop into the water. It was only 150 pesos to get in 2.50 USD. We rented a taxi for the whole day outside of Puerto Plata for 120 USD and had 7 people in it! If you have a family or want some adventure go here and have fun! Also you will need to walk down to the pools and it is very slippery! be careful! Also bathrooms are disgusting so change clothes before you go!

What a shame that it was so busy and noisy when we visited. Hard to find a place to relax. 200 pesos to get in. 50 pesos to use the Zipline. Lovely cave to explore. Good selection of drinks at the shop/bar. Clean toilets. Really beautiful gardens and flowers. But it overwhelmed me with the amount of people and noise. My fault for going on a Sunday.
