About
Located across from Rio Tinto aluminium smelter, Moore Creek Falls is a photographer's delight. As you climb the rugged staircase carved into the hillside, the sound of snowmelt water rushing down the banks leaves you anticipating what's ahead. These falls are more spectacular after a good rain.

I have visited the falls on previous trips to Kitimat. There is a rather steep climb to get to them but it is certainly well worth the effort.

Easy to get to, frozen or flowing this place is just stunning. Close to the Rio Tinto smelter and easy and quick walk from the road way. Worth a visit if you are out that side of town.

A journey to my childhood here. We used to play under the falls, swimming and fishing. We also climbed above them, finding a niche in the wall we could crawl into right at the top. Well worth a look when you visit kitimat.

No signs anywhere. Followed the google map and others vague directions and never found it. Do NOT make a special trip. Add some signs somewhere.

It is good that the smelting company has re-opened access to the falls. It would have been nice if the signage had indicated how long the walk was to the falls. Very short! Very amazing place. We love waterfalls.
